Glad I got the Update here... that X man was really starting to grow On me & Steven John always admired him for his truthfulness & helpful critiques to others... gotta give the guy credit, he knew what he was talking bout & I'm glad to hear he wasn't banned cause that would just be wrong for someone to be banned for an honest opinion that isn't sugar coated

What IP or ISP is Listener X trying to access Karaoke Scene from ? I think what's happening is the site isn't recognising his domain. That's exactly the message I get when I sign in from America Online. Although it allows me to sign in and shows my account stats, it doesn't allow me to "read until I have one post", and doesn't allow me to post.. The problem is this site isn't recognizing his domain. I can at times sign in from that specific domain, and than shortly after I'm dumped. The problem is a connection problem. Tell Listener X to try approaching KS from a domain it acknowledges.. He'll be able to get in ! IF he's attempting to come here from America Online he's GOING to have problems. In lieu of current site difficulting Lord only knows what other sites are having probs...

I'm going to go to America Online, and post exactly what happens, so yes, this post too will be edited...brb with results !

ADDED:

From America online (and I had to copy and paste this into my notebook and save it to documents) assuming I even try to access various areas, such as comments, suggestions, etc... even announcements at times, OR the "Singers Forum" I am signed out (after being able to sign in) and I then receive the following message. While it acknowledges my site stats as steven kaplan, it doesn't allow me to post or access certain areas. Assuming I don't get loads of scroll telling me my membership isn't acknowledged, I receive the following after being logged out automatically

Is Listener X's CURRENT Email address the same address that is listed in his Registration Information ? That is important..

Assuming anything has changed from his prior Email address typed into the registration info he must then confirm an email that will be sent to his current Email address.. When he clicks on a link validating his info, he will be back in..

His Email address currently MUST be the same Email address that he originally registered under, or the Email address the site has on record for him. IOW.. Legit means "Legit with Karaoke Scenes data"

Prior to anybody who can't access the site making the assumption "They've been banned", It'd be best to wait until the Site Administrator is able to access the site. When the site administrator isn't able to access the site, it is the WORST time to assume access probs mean that you've been singled out ! Clearly there's a major site problem, and this must be very frustrating for ALL in charge... Let's give the guys a break and not assume the worst !


When mods and administration all say he was not banned, that means he was not banned...prety clear to me

Who was the sore loser that got Listener X kicked off SS ?

Well that would be ListernX themselves.

I have tried to post a reply in here and I had a terrific explanation written but for some reason I keep getting an "Invalid Session" error?!

I am going to attempt to reply again.

NOTE: I have not read through this entire thread.

Somewhere in the forums I have a post that deals with this istuation.

YOU MUST HAVE A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR ACCOUNT. Currently there are 40 other members that do not.

They are in jeopardy of having their accounts deleted as well.

Everyone check to be certain that 1) you have an email address in your profile and 2) that it is valid!

Glad to see everything was ok and that he's back among us now

No he's not unless he rejoined!

His account and all information associated with it was deleted!

This is because he did not have a valid or an email address in his account. He may have when he registered - but somewhere along the line he delted the email address.

DO NOT Remove your email address - You will go Buh-Bye when the system attempts to access it and send an email.

This is a security precaution that is set up.

BTW - I am still experiencing troubles posting - not certain what is going on? I have to keep deleting all cookies, restarting IE or Firefox and login again. Very annoying - somethings is screwy but the developer of the board says it is just my computer? HUH??

Hey PDawg, nice to see ya again & glad you took notice sweets I had my pic Up for a couple of weeks now... the girls (Vicki & Cathi) were putting vasts amounts of pressure On me to show my face so finally I gave in to them & made them Happy Plus I do remember you asking me as well to put a pic Up of both Steven & myself. Now I'm not too sure if we're gonna get Steven to show his face... I've been trying to persuade him but to no avail, yet... ya see, he's a lil' shy like I am & it may take major arm twisting but between you & me, I don't think it's gonna happen. I can tell you this much, he's a very handsome man.. stands 6'1, weighs bout 190 pounds, brown eyes with light brown hair with a lil' gray On the sides, gives him that distinguished look you guys get after a certain age

Like confuse-us used to say (English translation of Confucious), "he who goes to bed with itchy butt wakes up with smelly fingers" No, wait, that was just the kid who sat in front of me in the 1st grade, not Confucious. Oh well. Maybe it still pertains. I'm not sure. Maybe I should start a thread to find out. Hmmmm.
