I have a KOD-650 for a year now. It's great machine. Does anyone know how to diasable the copywrite so that I can record DVD's. According to the tech rep where I bought it, there is a way, but not allowed to tell me.

I'm not exactly sure on this, but I think you would need to use a PC to convert your DVD's to .mpg files.
Then you would need to remove your KOD hard drive from the KOD system and attach it to your computer (usually by using a USB case), and transfer your files over.
I'm not sure of the actual files you will need to edit in order to map the new songs into the library list. There is also the potential that you could damage the file structure of the drive itself, so making a backup image of the drive with an imaging utility would be ideal.
In essence, the real trick is to convert your discs into the format that the machine uses, since it does not have any built-in feature to capture DVD's.

Supposedly there is a way to change it internally. I'm not a computer wiz and don't want to enter the mother board and screw anything up, unless someone out there knows how to do it and can tell me.
