Ok guys, I have Lexicon for effects and when I dial in a new effect and then press the button in to select it, it makes a really Loud POP on my speakers.

Does anyone know why this happens? It forces me to mute everything on my mixer before I can change effects, which really makes it annoying when I need to change between karaoke songs and I'm playing filler music.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like your input is too hot Either reduce your input or go into lexocon program and reduce your input..

You reduce the input by turning down the FX send setting on your mixer.

How are you returning the signal? If it is by means of a channel (which is what I do) you could just mute the channel.

I have a Lexicon MX200 and change effects on the fly all the time, no pops.

Three quick questions, are you using balanced cables for your connections, what other gear is in the signal chain and is there anything else mounted near it in the rack?

In your case I would suggest going back to factory settings. Push the program button and the 3rd knob selects each setting Find factory reset
Then if you are running 2 mics set the input for dual channel. It has bars that indicate input Set the level for unity in.

I am using balanced cables yes. The rest of the gear is a DBX compressor and 32 band EQ.
