Where is the cheapest place to get stuff online?

That is a very broad question. What are you looking for?

I would try Musicians Friend (Guitar Center). I know they will usually match any online price you find, within reason. You have to take in account cost of shipping and quality of the online store. You'll want to purchase from a company that is reputable and will stand behind their product. The cheapest online store isn't always the best. If you buy something you're not satisfied with you'll want to make sure you can return it without a problem.

I like zZounds. They ship faster than lightning, and have not shipped me any bogus stuff yet.

I used to use Musician's friend, but since their merger with GC last summer it seems they can't do anything right. Every order I have tried with them is bad, and I am through.

I've ordered through SameDay Music - ship the same day. Never had a problem. Also use MF/GC but not as often. Think it depends on what you're looking for.

They've been merged for almost 10 years now - May of 1999. All Musician Friend brick & mortar stores became Guitar Center while they kept the online purchasing Musicians Friend.
I still use 'em, never had any issues to date. Locally will hit Guitar Center, very few other options close to me - 2 for real pro gear unless I want to drive to Seattle.
For karaoke music, generally karaoke.com, prosing.com are my 2 main sources.

They had separate mail order operations until last summer. They merged them in early August, relocating to a new facility.

Since that time I have received double shipments, deficient shipments, DOAs on B-Stock, and had trouble getting the RMAs associated with those dealt with. They no longer take emailed questions or replies to order confirmations.

Of course I could just be experiencing issues not seen by others, but I don't get that feeling. Their customer service people seem a bit beleaguered....

Since last September I have bought most everything from zZounds. I decided to try Musician's Friend once again, and bingo! DOA and return, and difficulty getting the RMA.

Prices competitive with MF, etc and they have a payment option where you can do 3 or 5 payments on your card depending on the amount.
