I get summer Lovin' all the time too!
The one that still gets me every time is the Four Tops song SingyThingy mentioned. I never figure out that it's Can't Help Myself! I always look for Sugar Pie Honey Bunch. I usually resort to asking around...VERY EMBARASSING!!!
If I didn't know for sure that I had the damn song, I'd tell everyone that I don't have it.
I think I'm going to just change it in the books, since everyone else writes it down wrong anyway.

This is just a small title change, but the one that used to constantly throw me when I was starting out was "Time Of My Life". I've never seen a slip written that way. It always comes up "I've Had The Time Of my Life" and I would look for that thing and frantically go "Where did I put that?!?!?" because I didn't have search and I would always look under the "I"s.
When I went computer I got in and changed the track titles (I must have it in three or four places) and my book. But it's too late now because I always remember so I didn't really have to.
"Big Yellow Taxi" threw me for a bit just a couple of weeks ago. It's been done maybe twice the whole time I've been a KJ. And as usual the slip came up "Parking Lot" and you know when singers are doing other songs and you can't shift gears mentally to something different... yup... but fortunately it came to me in between singers.
There's still a big one that comes up wrong all the time but I just can't think of it yet.
There are a few computerized shows, locally, that do not put out song books. I have often wondered how the KJ functions when confronted with one of those confusing titles. As a KJ, I put the onus on the singers to look up the song and provide the correct catalog reference # on their request slip. Even though I am computerized, I do not accept verbal requests or request slips that are incomplete as to both title and catalog number!
