I think you do great in the situation you are in. I watched you and you have CompuHost built into your brain.

LMAO That is one of the sweetest things anyone has ever said to me.

Now I am blushing -- we geeks don't get that said to us very often.

This is a great discussion about Compuhost! To JR (or others) if you're considering switching to Mac, check out kJams dot com

kJams had these features long ago. I started in the biz doing it that way (fully computerized), but actually prefer slips -- gives the singers something to hold physically, and they're not looking over my shoulder all the time looking at the computer with a drink in their hand, and I don't want to buy a kiosk.

Latest feature is Tricerasoft music store built-in to the software. Other legal stores are in the works.

Hey, I think I just hijacked the thread! :)

P.S. Thank you to Karen, Bill, and Mcky for the relevant info pertaining to the OP :)

Thanks Randy for the input. I have been a Mac user since windows drove me bonkers a few years back. I have a 24" Imac and love it, but no macbook.

I have been wondering if i should go back just to host shows with Compuhost, or research other options for macs.

Myckj57 You seem to be very knowledgeable about everything karaoke and i enjoy reading your posts. Thanks for taking the time to explain things, and NOT acting like you know it all without backing it up with good information. Cheers.

It WILL be a good day when i no longer need to use slips anymore! Getting me to change formats is my real challenge. Going from discs to cavs was a lonnnnnng process since i was VERY comfortable pulling discs and had all discs memorized.

It was a bad back and broken leg that lead me to switch over. :)

I'm not sure what type of venue you work in, but index cards work very similar. I get very few slips turned in. What I love is I don't have to make as many. I have had some nights where I have gotten as few as 3 all night.
