Can't say I watched the US. Vice Presidental Debate... I'm too busy loading my pc with Chinese Karaoke songs I purchased...
This is a VERY time consuming task. I think I am well over 80 hours so far... with at least another 30 to go.

I thought she did a fine job. Her staff could have done a little better job in their prep department but I thought she handled herself well. I watched the debate and then flipped around to the different channels to get the "experts take"( obviously "expert must have more meanings than I'm aware of) , I checked out CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS and FOX with the exception of MSNBC I thought they were pretty fair in their assessments. My hats off to the people at MSNBC, they must have exceptional hearing as they heard things I didn't hear even though I'm sure I had the sound on during the entire debate.

She is the first one in a long time running for office that.
I would want for a neighbor'
Would want to go hunting or fishin with.
Would to go get drunk with'
Would want to get invited for Sunday dinner/.
But most important of all she is not a millionare attorney and I would like to have her for a friend.
She reminds me of my ex who I am still in love with. In one day she killed 3 elk with a .243 Savage lever.

I Tivo'd the VP Debate.
I was eager to hear the presses interpretation of the debate also. I found her poised and intelligent. Senator Biden caught me off guard because he spoke well also. From watching him in previous debates I was expecting him to come off a bit goofy.
They argued about a few things I knew were portrayed wrongly. Some of the facts stated I knew weren't right on both sides. What I found out today after reading the news was, I wasn't wrong. It's hard to get a take on who I thought was better because so much was misspoken. I agree that these canidates really should have more prep time, geez. If little ole me could tell things were being said that weren't right, you'd think they'd know.

I watched it intently..... I'm curious about her...and didn't know a thing about him. ( I don't go for media hype, I like to form my own opinions )
After paying close attention, I've come to a decision about who, I think, should take charge in the white house.
Biden should be president. Palin should be his vice.
(anyone else for a split-party nomination?... I say it's time for something new)
I think they both handled themselves well, and were very civil with each other. Most debates get so out of hand with snide remarks. They were pressing their points, which often opposed each other, but they kept it light hearted and didn't sling insults at each other. Both snuck in a couple little untruths (more stretching the truth I think).. but hey, it's politics, they're trained to do that.
I think... they most likely parted as friends actually, I think both came away with respect for the other. Party affiliations aside, I liked them both. By what the media was saying, I expected her to look like an uneducated backwoods barbie and him to be a bumbling idget, but neither applied.
Obama and McCain... quite another story;) I'll stick with "none of the above".

I couldn't agree more Ollie, and from what I understand she loves things like that..
Hunting, and fishing I mean, I don't know about the drunk thing, lol.
London Live, I think she did a good job too, even though she seemed a tad nervous in the beginning, which I understand. I saw her as a breath of fresh air, rather than one of the smug, boring, politics as usual candidates thats been the norm.
Babs, she made a couple mistakes, but I would think that again, that could be because of nervousness, not because she didn't know the answer. She doesn't have near the debating experience Biden does, which of course means nothing as far as qualification for vice president.imho.....Ron

Ok, Ok...I'll compromise with ya, how about Palin for pres, and Biden for vice ?
I agree, they were very polite, and civil to one another, which was another refreshing element of last nights debate. Ron

Not that it makes any difference I thought she acquitted herself quite well. But by this time next week you'll most likely not find anyone who will be talking about the Veep debate last night.
The only other thing I'd venture is that I think the ticket is upside down. I also agree that Sarah Palin indeed is very HOT!

What I learned about Sarah from the debate is that her personally is just a bit fragile for a politician and her knowledge of current issues are very thin. But in her defense I think that Sarah is just now getting started to understand the right things to say but she is just not quiet getting why it's the right things to say. At best Sarah is a work in progress. But I do believe she held her own and she has a great room presence. Better presence than what I see in Mccain and she is much better at public speaking than what I think of G.W.
Republicans should be very pleased with her performance.
note: Just a simple minded point of view. But it's mine and it doesn't have to be yours.

My wife is Chinese, and she loves karaoke. She found some good deals online, but it is difficult to load thousands of songs. Then, I have to copy / paste the song name, from the web, into the computer... since they import as track1, track 2...
It also makes it a bit difficult, that I can't speak / read chinese, so I am matching up the characters... after starting to play each song. I feel like a kid out to dinner, with a kids menu, trying to match the pictures....
I did get the hang of it though... I just make up my own 'desctiption' of what I am looking for.... (... ok, this is a fat soldier, holding a spear... 情 ) I know, strange... but it gets me through the songs.
Only one more DVD to go... (20 songs).

I think audiograbber can name them if the disc is on the database...otherwise you name them before you rip them.

The problem is, they are VCD / DVD... so it is just a copy over to the computer. The DVD, I had to find a VOB -> AVI converter, as it wasn't as easy as drag'n drop. Of course, I had to find the 'buggiest' software out of china... but that's neither here nor there...
Only 15 songs to go...
Also, the touchscreen works great. Look for a detailed review of my setup, in a couple weeks, after I get all the software configured. I'll try to get a pic, and post it.
