Sheree @ Sun Oct 26, 2008 6:17 pm wrote: Nobody labeled Babs a troublemaker. Nobody. All threads that are posted are subject to interpretation by the reader. I've sent a PM to Babs and posted three or four times in here that I don't believe there was any malicious intent on Babs' part.
This discussion has been civil and respectful 98% of the time. For a political thread that's gone on for 15 pages I'd call that a successful result.
I don't venture in here very often these days. I certainly don't regret taking part in this thread, I have found it very interesting and enlightening. I think there are a lot of good people here with strong opinions and a passion for what you believe in. I'm glad to know all of you and I'm glad I stumbled in here. I think we all want the same thing in the end.
I will echo Boatman and say thanks for posting it Babs.
Now I will tip toe out of here..
Sheree, I am sorry for bringing this up again, because I know everyone wants it to go away, but I want just say one thing before I quietly tip toe out of here myself.
And that is, I am guilty of not going back and reading all the posts leading up to my post. So I wasn't accusing anyone of anything, I was just responding to Babs feeling bad about starting this thread, thats all. No one else entered my mind, I just did'nt want her regreting this thread, because she should,nt. If someone thought I was refering to them, I'm sorry, it wasn't the case.
I still think there was a lot of interesting stuff posted, and it has been rather civil for the topic, and number of posts.
Hey, everyone, theres another week or so left so..............Peace

I am guilty of writing long boring novels on this thread! I am so sorry to have written so much! I should have kept my replies a lot shorter! It is wonderful when people in this country can get together and discuss things like this. This could not be accomplished in many countrys today.--Mike

I too confirmed with Babs in a PM that there was no trouble making accusations from me... as I said earlier, people can get PRETTY worked up over politics and religion.
So if you're reading, Babs, sorry if you thought that I was accusing you of anything.
I wasn't accusing ANYBODY specifically of anything, just that there were some posts I frowned inwardly on! My apologies for ANY polorized opinions about my criticism!

That was funny Babs. The local Dem office here sent me that video in an email with my name on it. Also, I don't care who anyone votes for as long as they go out and do it. Actually, I like all of you guys here, even those that disagree with me politically.

Notice to All Employees
As of November 5, 2008, when President Obama is officially elected into office, our company will instill a few new policies which are in keeping with his new, inspiring issues of change and fairness:
1. All salespeople will be pooling their sales commissions into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are underachieving a “fair shake.”
2. All hourly employees will be pooling their wages, including overtime, into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst yourselves. This will help those who are “too busy for overtime” to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours.
3. All top management will now be referred to as “the government.” We will not participate in this “pooling” experience because the law doesn't apply to us.
4. The “government” will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging its workers to continue to work hard “for the good of all.”
5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it's “good to spread the wealth.” Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more “patriotic.”
6. The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don't feel bad though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he'll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can't pay your mortgage. If you appeal directly to our democratic congress, you might even get a free flat screen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn't all Americans be entitled to nice looking hair?) !!!
If for any reason you are not happy with the new policies, you may want to rethink your vote on November 4th.

Unfortunately I'm not too surprised. Skinhead kids playing too many video games, operating on one cylinder for a brain and listening to who knows what moronic, gibberish rhetoric. It's a sad state of affairs. Other than that, I'm sure they're swell kids!
