I am down in South Florida once again. I don't think there are any KS people in Dade county where I usually am, but I have time this weekend to make it up to Broward somewhere for karaoke.

I love to visit forum-member hosted shows, not only to meet the people you see online but because they are usually among the best shows out there.

If anyone will fess up to being from Broward and having a Saturday or Sunday show, I'd like to visit. I have PMed a couple of people I know from the area, but the whole weekend is open.

Also this time I am driving back and I will be in Gainesville FL on Monday night and Knoxville TN Tuesday. It is a longshot to find a show there, but I would vary my route some to meet up with one of our many Tennessee folk.

I'm not that familiar with Florida, but my Mother lives in Hallandale (10 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale Airport. When I visit her, I usually find Karaoke all over there.... Pompano Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Hallandale. I don't know how far away Gainesville is from there.

That's ironic Cue, Trish just took over a show on Tuesdays at the Stained Glass Pub on Federal Hwy in Ft Lauderdale. I recommend the place and the show.

[url]Soundsofstardom.com[/url] has two shows on Sat ("out west") and a show at the Hard Rock hotel on Sunday. Karaokehotline.com was doing a show at the Howard Johnsons on Deerfield Beach. You may want to try [url]FloridaKaroake.com[/url], but half of the info is outdated.

PS: Singers is a "private" club that you can enter as a temporary member. Just ring the doorbell. The karoake goes on until the wee hours. They now have that Bose "Stick", so I don't know if you'll enjoy it. oh and it's a smoking establishment!

Can't help you this weekend, but if you're in the Hollywood area, stop by Chauncy's Pub on any night (Saturday - Wednesday).

It's just east of Unviersity Drive on Pines Blvd.

Thanks for all the help, everyone. I went a couple places last night (both were packed). A mostly young Latino crowd went wild for "Diggin' Up Bones", go figure.

I am going to see Sevarin's show tonight (Sunday) in Lake Worth! And I will definitely PM Karaoke Kelley as I plan on being in Gainesville Monday. It is a blast to meet fellow KS members.

I will have to take down all the URLs when I get home, as I only know of (but definitely use) floridakaraoke.com.

When in East Tennessee, check out the Karaoke Cafe (www.karaokecafe.com)owned by Chartbuster. Its only about 20 minutes from Knoxville. The resturant is closed tues (so no karaoke) but the store is open til 6 pm. The leaves are at their peak right now so its a good time for a visit.

Just back from meeting Alex (sevarin) at his show in Lake Worth. What a good time, and what great sound! I am just a bit jealous -- no, to be honest, I am a lot jealous. He has this new Odyssey rack setup that rocks. The new 1046 compressor is sweet, too. And I learned a couple of things about CompuHost in the process, too.

So I tell him I think his stuff is great, with the EV Sx500 speakers and all. I say "the only way I have you beat, even with my Yorkvilles, is with the DriveRack." So then he says "I have one coming next week".

It was by far the best show I have seen in South Florida. Awesome sound, great equipment, Alex's humor, and a long and solid rotation of singers. (One guy did a great Neil Young replete with harmonica.) Once again it is proven that KS users have some of the best shows.

Tomorrow I go to see Karaoke Kelley in Gainesville. What luck!

Darn! I am kind of beat and won't be around after Tuesday night. I will try and find a show somewhere then.

Just got back from the University of Florida student union and a raucous karaoke outing hosted by Karaoke Kelley, Randy, and Justin. I got confused and didn't make it until the end, but I got a chance to talk with Kelley and Randy quite a bit. It was a blast meeting them, and I got to sing a couple of times as well. I heard Kelley sing, but not her preferred material -- she did a soul number!

Too bad I won't get to go to your show, Rumbolt. I suppose I could arrange a car breakdown, but I just bought a new one so I am not sure how well that would work....
