Well, they're a "No" for AMERICAN manufactures from making further songs. SC used to do them all the time, and finally they were told no, just like many artists have done in the past few years!

I bought the new album. It rocks. It is so cool they still have all the original band members. A lot of their songs sound the same as many of their old hits, so I don't think I'd purchase the CDG. Only for the reason I don't think they'd get requested. But if that is what is being requested, of course I'd have to get some songs.

I'll look for the new stuff if I get anyone interested. The guys in my room though... they pretty much stick to what they listened to in high school. The ladies are who I have to keep up with as far as new material goes.

There's at least one AC/DC song done in my room practically every night. Highway To Hell and Hell's Bells are the top two. A karaoke yes-yes! Big time!

SC still lists all their classic songs as active. Is it just new material that's a no-no for manufacture here in the States?

The album is great, just as good as anything in the past. Gotta love a band who can make the same album over & over again & have it sell & the tours sellout just like their older stuff. Funny thing is I haven't had one request to date since the single has been out. That may or may not change. Only AC/DC songs that really get done at my show is You Shook me All Night Long, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, WHole Lotta Rosie & Back In Black on occasion. That's out of 25 different titles.

Gotta laugh, Lonman - what you said above, about the same band, same music, same success. Funny when the intros start to any of their songs everybody hollers and claps. Hubby's band covers a few AC/DC tunes and the crowd just goes nuts every time.

Went to a memorial service for a pretty famous musician last weekend and the lead player for Hell's Belles (which is a female AC/DC trib band) played the show the night before - she was really a very good female Angus.

Long Live AC/DC!

I watched an interview a few years back with Angus Young. The reporter asked, "You guys have been accused of recording the same album 12 times, what is your response to this?"
Angus replied, "That's a bloddy lie, I would like to set the record straight, we've recorded the same album THIRTEEN times!" Then went on to say if you have a formula that works, why mess with it.

Well, not quite...

I miss Bon Scott myself (pre Back in Black singer) may he RIP. Course he left the band cause he died. Maybe that doesn't count...

Not quite but since 1980 Brian has been upfront. 28 years.

Someone will usually sing "BIG BALLS" a couple times out of the month. The best was this one girl that sang it. She was totally hot. Anyway, she crammed someone's sweater or shirt or something down her pants, but no one noticed this until she ripped open her own sweater at the appropriate time. Hilarious.

Funny, everyone thinks that song is dirty, it's about a formal party - balls! Just lots of inuendos.

Yup, for a while recently I had a couple of females at my show that would sing Big Balls - it brought HUGE applause and cat calls for sure.
