It cost about $0.62 US per liter here, a drop from a high of $0.86/l. We expect a further drop in price to around $0.52/l in the very near future.

$2.51 here. It keeps dropping every other day.

I was concerned that these boys may be suffering a bit by now but thank god they're doing OK! Sheesh. LOL

Actually, the opposite seems true... as the DOW increases, the value of the US dollar appears to decrease and as the DOW drops, the US$ gains strength. I perceive this to be at least in part due to the increased demand for $ as investors convert their stocks to cash. This seems to be having a double-damning effect on the Candian $ as it's US$ cross-rate has dropped from last year's oil-driven high of $1.10 to the current $0.78.

Has anyone noticed if the airlines that introduced add-ons (such as charging for 2nd checked baggage), citing increased fuel costs, have now removed those extra charges? My guess is they are quietly reaping the benefit of a nonchalant public, hoping their customers don't notice. Of course, had the airlines merely increased the value of the "fuel surcharge" when oil prices were high, then it would be all too obvious that this surcharge did not also drop along with the decline in oil prices.

Dollar Strength Blunts Pain in Rising Oil Prices For The US

Lol, that is SO what I do. My hubby gets irritated that I put in only $5-$10 at a time.

Gas station workers sometimes look at me funny when I pull in in a Bronco and put in that much... especially when prices were so high:)

(about 12 miles to the gallon in that old thing, but hey, I rarely leave town....)

Up at my mom's it's $2.38 now.

Yeah same here. I only put in 5 or $10 at a time. I've become somewhat of an expert at judging just how far the car can go below the E. :)

I fueled up yesterday $2.73. Not bad at all. I could live with that.

Station I go to is at $2.59 today. Have seen as low as $2.39 around town. I like my Dodge it gives me an estimate on how many miles I can go before empty - it's fairly accurate as well.

My predictions.... ....1. after the elections, gas prices will go up no matter who wins......faster if Obama wins, not so much as punishment, but they'll need to gouge us as much as possible before somebody might actually legislate some rules for Big Oil.... ......2. stock market goes up by about 1000 points by Friday if Obama wins.........3.....if Obama wins, the current adminstration shoves over a hundred new laws into action.....within a few weeks, maybe days..... ....even if I'm wrong on all three......still makes me as good as the experts I've seen on TV for the past two months.... :P :P :P :

edit.....my crystal ball was a bit dirty, and I didn't see the (-) negative sign in front of the 1000.......
