have to say in response to the question "what they would do if someone videotaped /recorded them and played it back"...sorry to say I have DONE that to a few singers that cleared out the bar every time they got up- back when I was running shows. I was hoping they would get how bad they were...but they never did...in fact the worst one ever- whose name was "becky Blank" no kidding! ( who I would KILL for video footage of singing to show al y'all) I once made a tape of her singing wolly bully and gave it to her- I pulled up beside her at a stoplight a few days later and she was listening to herself and smiling and snapping her fingers and LOVING it! I think when their ear is THAT bad- they honestly can't tell good from bad. The obnoxious guy in this original post prolly WOULD like any video you made of him...and he would also be the first to not only claim his fart in church - but he'd tell you they don't stink either!
But lord and everyone near me when I cut one knows i don't share that disillusionment! In fact my hubby ALMOST divorced me for on that was so bad........and y'all thought I was so refined!

I accept the challenge ! Will this be submitted in the showcase for rank and Critique ? Whichever one of us comes closest to Concert A 440 wins PROVIDED, the SPL is well over 80 DB ! I'd say comments but somebody will just say "Kappy, it's such a pleasure to finally hear your voice".

There have been worse...but man, that's bad!
If the video isn't a joke, I feel kinda sorry for the guy.

best way to handle a situation like Tony is to yell out "What did melody ever do to you man?"

haha that clip WAS funny..but to me it looked he knew exactly how silly he was looking and sounding. He was not doing karaoke at all he was singing along with original tracks...and he likes long walks with his uncle...im sure he knew that would be anything BUT romantic...and his too tight leather jacket..he had to know how funny that would look. I think he was poking fun at himself.
As far as karaoke goes. IM HORRIBLE AT IT. Ive only done it a couple times in my life and I was so nervous I know I sounded horrible. I'm just now gaining a little courage singing in church and at some local events .
AND...somewhere here I read the origin of karaoke..its to blow off some steam after a hard day at work...it was never meant to be true musical entertainment..I love watching people on their videos who maybe cant sing but are so obviously having a great time! They make me laugh and smile..not at them...but because of them.

It was funny but not the worst I have heard. A buddy of mine, who of course thinks he can sing, basically screams his way through songs. Talk about painful!!!!
