There are several programs that will do this. Is this for home or business?
http://www.mtu.com/basics/karaoke-hoster.htm - Video Hoster
http://www.kjtools.com/CompuHost.html - Compuhost
http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/prod_si ... sional.php - Siglos Pro
These are just few, there are several other options. These all have demos, download them & try them out. Your computer must be set up to run an extended (2nd) display. In order to rip cdg to the computer, you must have a cdg compatible cd/dvd drive. With the MTU & Powerkaraoke software, the drives aren't as important as they will work with alot more drives that the others won't recoginze. What kind of computer are you working with - specs?

For home and private parties, places where I don't have a ton of singers, I use Tricerasoft's Just Karaoke(25 dollar download). It's the easiest one to use that I've come across. Has anyone else used JUST Karaoke? The only gripe I have with it, is the key changer, even going only a half step either way, can really effect the quality of the music. Sometimes, I use a seperate external key changer with it.

Yes, their key changer is just *awful*.
I understand for home use Karafun is quite good -- at least some here recommend it.
And again for home use, I think Winamp and the MP3+G plugin is quite usable. I just wish it had a ZIP plugin to go with it...

The OP never really defined if it is for home use, there is an insinuation leading to that though, which is why I asked.

Oh, but it does. Install the AutoKDJ plugin and during the installation process unselct everything but the Zip File Plugin and install just that. Now you can drag and drop zip files onto the playlist and play them in Winamp.

Pesonally for commercial use I use PCDJ VJ. For data base sp[/url]eed it is fast plus it integrates with video and audio very well. The best is the ability to advertises in between songs verses other programs. . I goto: [mp3gstore.com] they usallyhave free trials ans selections for the computer karaoke host. It's one of the first legal site i've seen. Also there you can find venue dj which is the first that I am aware of site to download soundchoice music under the title of the karaoke channel. I don't think there is a best program you just have to find what works for you....

Lonman is right about checking out demos. Unfortunately, unless they made it available in VJ, PCDJ does not have a demo of their karaoke plugin or program so you can't check it out but it is overkill.

Okay VJ has the plugin built in so download VJ demo and you can check it out.
Personally think it's overkill and is missing some features that would make your life easier. Pro use only I would rate it.
Personal suggestion.I would go with JustKaraoke if you don't need filler (DJ) music. If you are looking to record then I would suggest Siglos karaoke player/recorder. If you're looking for recording but need a database then Siglos professional will work.

And neither did I until just a moment ago.

I don't know what the problem is but I just went to mp3gstore.com clicked on the pcdj link and downloded pcdjkj. As a stand alone program it's not bad but it seems to function much better when it is used as a plug in for pcdj red. don't know why but try it out...
