Power karaoke recognizes almost ALL drives... since it's not working, My best recommendation is to buy an older plextor off Ebay or Amazon.
Check out www.goldenhawk.com and click on the list of recognizeable drives.

True, I had this drive in my previous Acer laptop and it never worked in MMC Deinterleave, it even crashed Karawin when trying to read the cdg disc!

IT WAS MY DRIVER SO WHAT I DID WAS JUST MOVED EVERYTHING OVER TO MY DESKTOP AND JUST RAN IT IN A OLD CD-ROM DRIVE AND BAMM, IT WORKS. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU TO EVERYONE.

I forgot to mention I also use Rip-n-Zip. I purchased it when I bought RoxBox. Rip-n-zip only cost $ 5.00 unless it has went up. You can Google Roxbox or KJamp to find it.

Yes, it's a great tool to create an Image file which you can then use to burn a cdg disk with Nero  Nero can burn CDG's and will support most drive without affecting the graphic or the sound quality

But Nero can't convert the file from .bin to .mp3+g, or to .zip, or zip the .mp3+g files.

If file size was no concern (and at todays cheap prices for hard drives it shouldn't be) I would go with *.wav and *.cdg.

I agree, you can't get a better sound than Wave and if you really want the best possible sound, extract in a FAT32 drive, but make sure to use a good software for your extraction, some impacts the sounds

Hell, maybe I will do it all over again (someday, no some week, no some month, no some month(s) in the near future) Maybe not too late  If you already used a good software when you extracted and the files are encoded with Lame at 160k+, you can change your NTFS drive to FAT 32 (can only be done once) and just use a software that will convert the mp3's to wave Now, assuming you have the music files in a different drive than the programs? You really want to keep Windows and the software in a NTFS drive

A file is a file is a file. The format of the file system should make no difference at all. A bit is a bit.

But wouldn't they just be 160 kbps mp3 files converted to wave and not true wave files in the sense - as to rerip to wave?
