Which I find a little ironic given my history with Barry. In 1974 I had fallen hard for the Walrus of LOVE. That's right, I had a brief fling with the velvety voiced maestro during my junior year in high school. He had a bad habit of stopping in and eating everything in my kitchen. He would drop by and the first thing he would do is raid the fridge. I was getting pretty sick and tired of this routine when one day he stood at my open fridge eating the last bit of Watergate salad. I remember feeling like enough is enough...he then paused, looked up at me and told me that he wrote me a song. My ears perked and I slowly stopped clacking my Clackers....I said "lay it on me Barry!"

Then he started singing "My darlin' I...can't get enough of your love babe" I was thinking hmm... this is a really cool song, perhaps I'll forgive him for squirting the last of the squeeze cheese down his velvet throat. Just as I started to get all tingly he starts singing "Girl, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know why, can't get enough of your love babe" ....and right here I stop him.

I say "HOLD IT THERE BARE!" He looks at me with those puppy dog eyes and takes a swig of milk right from the carton--and with his deep bass voice and milk mustache lips he says "what baby?"

I say, "what do you mean, you don't know why?" He says "what do you mean, what do I mean? It's just a song baby.."

And I was all "You don't know why? Seriously?"

And he was all "What's wrong baby?"



That's when I knew. Barry and I were like.... through.



That song still makes me mad.

was it the way he called you "baby"?

true story, he has a child named "Fish".....yes, in the phone book, he is under White Fish.....i couldnt make this stuff up ....really !

my parts? are ya refering to my medical condition?..im ok...its something i really gotta take day by day and monitor the best i can..im trying to stay busy with my music and this nut sheree , who makes my heart flutter enough as it is hey by the way, how are you doin with your parts? oh and also, whats your kid been up to, is he still rocking it up ?

Sheree, I don't know why, but this thread is very confusing to me! Is it about shark mating habits, Barry White dropping by for canned cheese, body parts, fluttering hearts or kids oddly named Fish as opposed to regular names like Moon Unit Zappa? Did Mom ever invite Barry over for dinner with the family or was Barry a secret? Any help understanding this thread would be greatly appreciated!

hells teeth man I would never presume to use such a crass way of asking after your medical condition..."how's your parts" is kind of a way of asking how you're doing...sorry for the confusion as to me well 2008 wont go down as my favourite year and as to Adam he has just scored a part in the company of Les Mis. I have just bought him a Phonic Helix Firewire 24 channel mixer for his 21st birthday so he is hopefully inspired enough to create some great music The firewire side of things is proving a tad tricky but that board has such a nice sound

And I can't explain what this thread means Don. It all started with a few song lyrics and a phone conversation with Mikey about how he practically chipped a tooth while playing with a pair of Clackers during the 70's.

Bernie Mac MADE Transformers... he had a bit part as the used car salesman, and I was CRYING during that part!
