It varies greatly $400-$1200..but in general I would say $800-$1000

Area so saturated that bar owners are only willing to spend $50 per show in my area. So i guess I mispolled and should have said 400-800.

My 3 days a week gross's $2800 a month plus my 3 days DJ averages $4000 A Month.

My average is $6800 a month

For 2008 my low month was $4700 (Jan 2008) My high month was $12560 (October 2008)

If I average out all twelve months it comes to about $2500 a month.

Making only $50 a night I wouldn't bother. I kind of dropped out of it for a while and just bought a new laptop and getting ready to get back in...but maybe that was a waste!

I don't think that is representative. Even in the boonies we get a minimum of $150 on a weekday and $175 to $225 on the weekend. Private parties are $350 and up, weddings $750 and up. If you are in the business as your main income, I think you have to do weddings and parties and the bar gigs are one of your main promotion vehicles.
