To repeat what others have said (and to add my own commentary).....

DK is the ONLY CDG that I know of that has the full song WITH the correct ending (two different lines sung concurrently by the Male and Female). They did not do word swipes for the female part at the end (but they did display the whole line).
DK has the Baseball Naration prerecorded in the background (so nobody sings that part unless they want to attempt to recite it from memory).

Sound Choice also has the Baseball Naration prerecorded in the background.

I don't remember which way Music Maestro did the Baseball Naration (prerecorded in the background or word-swipes displayed), and I doubt that I'm going to take the time to check my copy of it (especially since I have 5 other copies of the song on different discs).

ALL Hits (Number 8001) has the word-swipes for the Baseball Naration part.

Sunfly and ZOOM did NOT include the the Baseball Naration part at all. The song goes from "We're gonna go all the way tonight, we're gonna go all the way, tonight's the night" to "STOP RIGHT THERE! I wanna know right now..."

ZOOM has the correct Male/Female ending, and they managed to do double word-swipes for both of the parts. Also, IMO, Zoom has given more credited parts to the female to sing (that the other discs had in the background).

I have made my own personal copy of PBTDBL by combining/merging the DK disc with the ZOOM disc. I used the DK disc for the Baseball Naration part. I had to figure out the Bit Count ofr each disc, and through trial-and-error, I found where to place the breaks when I created my copy. There are 3 minor imperfections on the disc, so I would only use it with people that really know the song well.

does that mean that one of the most joked about songs of all time isn't reproduced in its full length by any manufacturer that is associated as one of the better ones? are we really left with SGB and Supercore?

By the way I am so sorry for creating a debate on this song.... I shall not sleep tonight owing to the guilt.

Has anyone seen the SBI, EK or Mr Entertainer Version?

The SBI is of the same quality swiping as Sound Choice with SOund CHoice having the better audio.

I must apologize that I couldn't keep up with all of the details provided by the preceding posts regarding "Paradise".

Here's what I know. The two best versions availalbe are: - AH & DK.

The AH version is the truest, by far, MUSICALLY, to the original track.
However, if one doesn't know the original extremely well, the AH version is not the one that I would recommend, because:

a) While the "narration" script is included, if the male singer doesn't know the narration it's a version you might want to avoid. (I have filled in this part when the singer has gone blank)

b) More notably, AH is missing lyrics which effect both the male and female singers. So, if someone is not both well-versed in the original lyrics as well as knowing what's missing on the AH version, the AH version is not likely going to be an enjoyable experience!

The DK version is very accurate as to the lyrics and has the narration. However, it is not in the original key and doesn't haven't as full a musical sound as the original. I enjoy them both and will do either one. If, however, they are both available and I'm singing with someone who may not be sure of all of the lyrics/parts, I'll always opt for DK.

I personally don't believe the SC version is very good, either. I believe I've been exposed to the ZM and I think it was pretty good, but not complete!

In closing, since we don't bar PBTDL here, locally, many of us are familiar with the various versions. Some of us also perform it, including DBK1009 (Dave). I think it would be fair to say that local opinions mirror my post!

EDIT: While I remember having the Supercore version of PBTDL, I began to wonder why I don't have it in my computer data base. I just retrieved the disc and now understand why, it is in fact the AH version as Marble wondered.
