Friday and Saturday only at Rite Aid

Normal price $50

Craig brand
ages 8+
CDG
Mic
built-in Stereo speakers, about 3"
runs on 8 "C" batt's or included A/C cord
multiplex cd voice reduction
basic mixer (mic and main knobs)
echo knob (zero to max)
outputs: RCA video and left/right audio
2 mic inputs, 1/4"
sample disc included with 4 songs
bright red LED display shows which track you've selected

Cons:
no way to repeat a section of a song to practice. Whole track only.
mic amp not very strong, so you have to sing loud
sing halfway loud and it distorts

Unable to test at this time whether it's the mic or the amp where the distortion is coming from, as I only have XLR cords -- no 1/4" cords. But I'd bet it's the mic. The audio sounds fine (it does pick up a slight 60 hz hum that you only hear between songs, which goes away when you unplug the mic)

Wait, Craig brand rocks! lol Plus it's got the "echo knob"! If the 60 Hz hum gets too loud, I'll just unplug the mic and tell everybody to sing louder! :)

Hook a better mic to it and the hum will probably go away.

Hey thanks, I will go check that out today. It could make a nice gift for my friends lil kids that like to go over to "Aunt Marlene's house to sing Karaoke. (And sing "oops I did it again" ten times in a row)

as for the negative comments... I did mention that this karaoke toy is for ages 8+

and yes, adding a decent mic will probably fix both issues

Excuse my earlier snotty comments, it actually looks like a very good deal especially for kids. :)
