RF Modulators will have both coax (cable tv cable) and RCA out and coax and s-video in. so you would need a s-video cable to go from the s-video out on your laptop to the RF Modulator and then on the out of the RF Modulator, depending on the TV connection, either coax to the TV cable connection or RCA to the TV RCA connection and for multiple TVs you would just get a cable spliiter for coax or a "Y" splitter for RCA.
At the "joint" I am at I run 3 TVs off of coax w/splitter (13" singers monitor and 2- 32" mounted TVs) and a 60" LCD TV using the RCA connection....all off a simple $20 RF Modulator.

If you are also running a seperate player for CDG discs, apart from your computer you can get one that is switchable.(2,3,and 4th one shown on same link above)

Also if you are running multiple TVs off of coax on a 20' or longer run get a video signal amplifier. (I believe I got one at Menards for $10 but Walmart also carries them for less than $20)

Masterblaster--I think this stand might work with my monitor. Only problem is it has a round tilt adjustale base on it. I think I could have that hang below the lip of the sheet holder and then get 2 heavy duty velcro bands and wrap around the sheet holder and top and bottom frame of the monitor. Should be easy to set up but won't look the greatest.

If you have an existing TV stand of the old Japanese style, I can tell you how I just modded mine to handle LCD.

* Purchased an LCD mount for $8.90 from parts-express.com:

* Mounted the monitor side of the mount to the standard mounting holes on a 14" LCD monitor obtained for $73 from TigerDirect. Any should work.

* Removed the slide holders from the TV stand plate.

* Drilled four holes in the plate to mount to the wall side of the LCD mount.

* Reattached the mounting pole for the TV stand plate so that it would swivel 90 degrees.

Voila! Here are photos -- I think it looks sharper than my previous solution. Someone mentioned the heavy-duty music stand from Guitar Center. The difference here is that the monitor slides right off the stand for storage in a gig bag. You could use the same mount for the music stand, too, I think.

I have checked and most all of the new 32 inch and above tv's now have vga inputs . where i work we are running 60 to 70 feet of vga cable to the monitors for control graphics with no problems just my 2 cents dave

The music stand sheet holder I was referring to is removable from the stand itself by just flipping a lever. I have the TV bolted to the sheet holder, and just put both in the gig bag. Very clean looking, and takes only seconds to break down and put away. The whole set-up is easier to use and much more light weight than any old-style TV stand. Plus, you can get the stand and gig bag for less than $100.

Don't get me wrong -- I like the music stand approach. I would have done that had I not figured out how to use my existing stand.

I do sort of like wheels, but they aren't crucial.

I use a $50 walmart 13" tv. Not pretty like a flat screen, but if it falls or breaks I could care less. A pretty flat screen doesn't make your system sound any better.
I'm not saying I wouldn't use a flat screen, but until my old stand completely dies, I don't see the need.

I get what you're saying. I like wheels at my main venue (semi-permanent set-up), but not for my mobile rig. Your way and mine both look to be good, cheap solutions. I may use your idea at my main venue once I get the new LCD there.

True. I haven't seen a new TV for $50-60 in quite a while. That's why the LCD monitors are looking good. Unless, of course, you want to take a chance on a used TV.

Although it won't make things sound any better, singers do like the flat screens. The mobility factor makes it a no-brainer for me.

I bought a 15" lcd monitor, then I bought an Acesonic lcd stand from Ace karaoke. This stand is great, in my opinion, it cost $99.00, has 2 mic holders, heavy roller base for stability, tilt mounting bracket, and fits any monitor with 3 or 4" mounting holes. Oh, and did I mention, it looks good too.
