I think the following link is very helpful in comparing various specs on several amps.
This can establish a guideline when shopping and comparing any brand or model of amp. there are about 200 speaker types but includes inputting speaker specs as well. Does anyone know of similar links?

there is no question that theyre selling amps lol.. I know for a fact that my speakers have no need for as much amp as they are trying to sell me. may be if they were JBL (power soaks)..(don't get me going on them )..

Of course they are trying to amps, but the point of that chart is to properly match power to your speakers.
Don't know what speakers you have but whatever the program rating is, is what the amp should be pushing.

VERY useful link Thank You! I'm going to show this to some of my KJ friends that do shows with 200 watt Powered Mixers driving 500 watt Program Speakers, and when they turn up the volume it becomes a distorted mess and then they get insulted when i tell them why. Either they don't care about the quality of their sound , or they just don't understand! :read:
