It's the best low-cost value around. It is a compilation of Pioneer, AmeriSing, Pop Hits, Legends, and other brands. It has an outstanding choice of songs covering all eras. You could squeak by with just SuperCore at a home party for sure. It is a decent start on a library, but it will have many of the same songs that the SoundChoice Foundation and Chartbuster Essentials.
I use Supercore along with my complete DK Millenium set as the core of my collection. I have augmented that with the majority of PopHits Monthly disks and various other acquisitions, and now have 9,000 unique songs that leaves very little out.

mcky, i just bought both foundations. Before this, I only had 1200 songs counting dupes. Along with another 8 CDG set I just bought, this should get me around 1600 different songs. After one gets over 2000 different songs, how to increase the library without a bunch of dupes?
So $45 for these 300 Supercore songs sounds pretty good? I have one Ameri-sing CD (Journey) and I think the quality is superb.

I don't think you want to buy it if you have SoundChoice Foundation. There will be too many duplicates.

I bought a 26 disc set off of eBay for about $18 several months back and I've been reasonably pleased with them. There are dupes that's for sure but it is still worth it for me.

The SuperCore will give you a lot of dups. However it will give you a bunch of more current songs than the Foundations left off at. If you can get it relatively cheap then go for it.
How to increase your library - carefully. Have a book of your songs & when you look for new discs compare the listings to what you already have & decide if it's going to worth it or duplicating alot you already have. Custom discs are great way to go as well, a little more expensive, but when you consider you are only getting what you need on 1 disc at say $75, it's better than buying maybe 10 different discs at $15 per to have a bunch of stuff that might not get used - but on the flipside, it does fill your books up & sometimes what isn't requested may be on those discs that you bought for something completely different.

Talked me into in Lonman. I got it for 38 bucks including s/h. Even if I only pick up 200 new songs, it's a good dea.

38 bucks is a great buy even if they're all dupes. Post back on here at some point as to which ones you feel are better quality.

I'll let you know about the quality. Actually the foundations packs I am buying are used. $400 total for both sets.

I knew a guy who bought thousands of songs from E-Bay. As soon as he copied them all, he put them right back on E-Bay.

Supercore were my first starter pack, the deal also included a 12 disc chartbuster set. I still use them today. They're superb value for money and as good as anything else out there.
I also bought a 120 disc sweet georgia brown/music maestro set which was just great for getting started because it was really dirt cheap and I got a heck of a lot of songs to put in my books for my first gig. However. the sound quality is nowhere near as good as good as the main manufacturers (with the exeption of backstage), but just to get started, it was better to have a naff version than not have it at all.

Piracy is a felony it is as simple as thet. A hard drive with a 129,00 karaoke song in commecial use could cost a Club a Liquor license and their Lottery license. If idiots are pirating the same hard drives with the Video and pirated mp3 music on it the door just opened for two more agencies to shut them down : take their house, car, boat, etc...
