I have been planning to get a Mackie ProFX12 when I can find one in stock. It looks like just what I need.

Learning about Mackies problems with chinese production from this Forum, and the fact that it has been hard to find available, has caused me to re-think my choice. So I have been looking at other non-powered USB Mixers.

It looks to me like the Allen & Heath ZED-14 is a better choice than the ProFX12. Of course the cost is greater.

Two features that I like are; 1. You can route the USB input into a stereo return, allowing much more control of the music on the mixer( the ProFX appears only to have a USB gain) 2. Swept mid-range control. It doesn't have built in FX or EQ, but I recently bought a Lexicon MX200 and plan on a DBX Driverack down the road, so thats OK with me 8)

I Would like to hear what others think of the ZED-14 and how it might compare with the ProFX12, or maybe other sugestions for a USB unpowered Mixer.

Don't know if you checked, but the GC in Tacoma has (had) the PROFX in stock, that's where I played around with it a few weeks back.
Never can go wrong with A & H though. Very good mixers - just know this particular line is also made in China as well!

It would seem that the 100mm Alps faders, swept mids, four stereo channels and modular build alone would make the Allen & Heath worth the price of admission. I have no experience with this particular model, but I do own and use an Allen & Heath mixer and find it sonically pleasing and extremely well built. Yes this model is made in the land of "C" but I doubt Allen & Heath would allow there name put on anything if it didn't measure up. On paper it looks like a nice bang for the buck mixer.

Thank you for the input :)

Although the PROFX12 appears to be a Real nice mixer for Computeroke, especially for the price, I am going to get the ZED-14. It will be a couple of weeks before I can afford the purchase. after I get it and try it out, I will post here again to give my thoughts on it.
