No wonder some bars and owners frown upon karaoke...

ORLANDO, Fla. — Not everyone is a fan of karaoke.

But authorities are looking for three armed men who ran into an Orlando karaoke bar Monday night and pistol-whipped five people. The Orange County Sheriff's Office reports that the armed men robbed the 12 people who were inside the bar.

No shots were fired, but two of the victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. The injuries were not life threatening.

Deputies did not locate the suspects Monday night despite using a helicopter and K9 unit.

How horrible !

There really are some crazies out there. I hope the bar can recover.

We have a karaoke bar in a neighboring suburb, Elgin Illinois that a guy opened fire on the patrons and workers. That was a couple years ago. They had trouble coming back from the incident, but are doing well now.

Man I hate when the press make it out like that. I don't think it had anything to do with karaoke, just some idiots robbing the patrons of a "happen to be" karaoke bar. It isn't like the story where someone got shot because of their karaoke rendition of a Frank Sinatra song or someone getting shot over an arguement of who is going to sing 'their' song.

That's just another reason I've always thought of karaoke as a "thrill" sport.

Maybe these THUGS will be LUCKY enough to not get caught for this crime, and will try AGAIN. AND maybe next time they'll go into THE WROOONG KARAOKE BAR. Then maybe THEY'LL find out how it feels to be pistol whipped, or MAYBE some of the patrons will take will take their guns away and SHOVE THEM UP THEIR......
oops, (I get caught up in the moment),sorry. Not that I would EVER approve of VIGILANTE JUSTICE.

Seems like Craigslist is getting the same kind of bum rap - bad things happen and mention is always made if the origin of the crime happened to be CL - they met through CL, they bought something through CL, etc., etc. Of course no mention is made of how successful a site it is for the other 99.9999% of the people.
