Seems my off sense of humor has gotten me in trouble once again. I need to apologize to Dan and Brucefan for my comments made about large people (of which I am one). Some of the meds I take seem to cause me to talk without engaging the brain. Anyway, I'm sorry. Self deprecating humor should be just that, aimed at myself and not others. I think I'll remove myself for a little bit and sit in the corner.

say your apologies and be done with it. If they won't accept it, then that's THEIR issue. You can only lead ONE life, and that's your own.
I've gotten into plenty of trouble with this big fat mouth of mine... fat fingers, too!
As long as there is no malice in your heart, apologize and then wipe the slate clean. Anxiety over issues only harms YOU.

I didn't take it personally. I just didn't think it deserved a response. I have a thick skin. I don't go running to the moderators when someone insults me. I deal with it like an adult...I usually just insult them back ;c)

I get like this. I personally think I'm quite quick witted, and also quite intelligent. I studied my way through university and grew up in a number of cultures, soaking it all in.
SO...
I make a fair number of jokes that some see as racist, sexist, etc.
I abhor racism and so on.
If you are intelligent to listen to the actual joke and understand it - you see I'm actually making fun of the racist/sexist idiots in the joke.
But oh no - everyone acts like a pleb and only sees "OMG a joke with a racial theme! Nik must be racist"...
I give up.
