The noise is coming from the satellite cable that connects to the TV monitor. If I disconnect the video from the monitor the noise goes away. Since there are several monitors that are in a particular venue that connect through a common feed, My question is would there be a filter to separate that noise?. I am thinking that the noise and the video connection to either the video input of the TV or distribution (LAB) amplifier that perhaps a filter in the video connection might be an answer? Anyone found an effective way to deal with this other then disconnecting the satellite cable?

Can you just disconnect the satellite at the source for the night? I used to do that all the time.

Co-axial switches don't usually work because they only disconnect the center conductor -- the hum comes through on the ground.

I have the same problem but it happens when I connect my s-video cable to the TV. I was recommended to g[urcahse a noise filter but if I find a solution, I'd be more than happy to pass on my findings.

The noise when you connect the S-video to the TV is caused by the satellite or cable connection to the TV. Try to unscrew the connection and watch the noise or hum disappear.

I was having an interference issue until I picked up a "DA" as suggested by karyoker. Works amazingly well. Paid $50 at the shack. (distribution amplifier)
