I am curious about this brand also so I am posting a reply just to get it back up top to see if your question will attract more notice.

We have a Quik Hitz Sugarland disc and it sounds very similar to the Radio Starz version. Radio Starz gets pretty good reviews here. But there isn't much info on the Quik Hitz label so don't quite understand their origins.

Anyone else know more?

Thanks... I was considering buying one of theirs, but won't take a chance on junk.
Oops, I read in another thread you're not supposed to use that word here; "junk". What's up with that? Are a lot of folks here easily offended?

On another note... I hate buying an assortment disc for just one song. But sometimes, it seems the only way to get a particular song.

I purchased the Sugarland disc last year from Quick Hitz simple because of the popularity of the group and the requests I was getting for their material.

I just tried "Stay" and instrumentally it sounds fine. But there are not background vocals. Does that sound right? I can't seem to find a copy of the original to make a direct comparison to.

Well they write out "Hitz" like All Hits did back when they first came out, wouldn't surprise me in the least if this is their new moniker for the year.

There are no backing vocals on the CB either. Never heard the original so don't know if they are supposed to be any or not.

I thought "Stay" was pretty much a solo with acoustic type thing. Funny you single it out because that is the one song on there that doesn't match with the Radio Starz disc and I thought it was pretty clangy. But by the time I tried to order a better version, Sugarland had been pulled. Other than that, most of the Quik HItz discs don't seem that bad but they are so cheap, I keep thinking there must be a catch or caveat of some kind.

I have two Quick Hitz discs... Carrie Underwood and Evanescence. The tracks that I also have duplicated in Big Hitz are the same.... Call Me When You're Sober (done nightly in my place), My Immortal, Before He Cheats, Jesus Take The Wheel....

I have the karaoke computer up this morning to double check and everything... titles, graphics, instrumentals, are identical in Quick Hitz and Big Hitz.

As many of you know I really like this brand. And so do my singers. I personally sing several things off Big Hitz and prefer them to dupes that have come up in SC.

I don't have Stay in QH or BH but there are no background vocals in the original that I know of. Backing track is just an acoustic guitar and B3/122 I believe. I use CB for this one because it has that all important four count-in.

I have been wondering if all the "Z"s are related--including Radio Starz--lots of similarities.
