To my knowledge, it's still around $70.00. As of now, the help guide is NOT complete. There are several indept theads on the subject explaning precisely what to do.

WARNING: CDGFix is intense. It's advanced features apply to Developers and those with Bit Level knowledge... Which is way beyond me, but what you need it for is simple.

Just load you disc and create a new one. DONE!

It took me about a year to learn it.

stogie, as you have read here, many don't like to Cavs. I have 3 of them. One old silver one that is not in my show, on newer black one, and a brand new 203G-USB. They do load alot slower than say my JVC, but what does that matter if you have more that one drive in your show? I feel that anybody who plays a gig on one drive, probably isn't very smart. I have two Cavs, so I can have one Super cued up and ready to rock, while the other player is playing another Super, loading time is not an issue. My JVC loads in less than 2 seconds, so is great for regular CD+G's.
Yes I have 3 drives for my show. The mixer supports it, I have them, I use them.

As far as the player not playing the higher disc numbers, I just don't see it. I have every Super CD+G worth having. I can easily play song 1234 on the NuTechs, and can easily play song 1208 from the Sweet Georgia Brown. I have heard Morgan ripping on Cavs in the past that it cannot play the hight numbers, especially the customs. Just because there is more disc space on the Dual layer DVD, doesn't mean it is ideal to fill it to capacity. Not just Karaoke players, but many players of many types cannot play to the very end of a disc. I have an expensive cd player in my truck, and If I have more than 18 songs on a disc, my player has problems with the later tracks. The Fix, don't fill the disc to capacity, easy.

I run a very successful show using (2) 203-G USB's, and a JVC single tray. I have no downtime in my show for loading disc, just have to be smart enough to plan the next singers. I don't find this hard.

Thanks Felix, you're right, I need to run with two players and a Y splitter so they can both run to the same monitor. I just received my switchbox that goes between the laptop and players to the LCD monitor.

Now I just need a VGA extension cable from the switchbox to the LCD monitor. I may just get a CAVS player and then I'll have a regular CD/DVD player and a CAVS player. Right now the slowest part of my show is when people come up with their own CDs. Anything to speed up the process and get more singers per hour.

stogie, if you can get your hands on one of the JVC single drive players, I think you will be happy. I also use this drive for customer disc, and my own regular cd+G's. I don't think there is a drive that loads quicker. It loads in less than 2 seconds, and closer to 1 second. Don't get a triple drive JVC. I know many KJ's with this drive, and it scores the disc over time, but this problem is only with the triple tray model.

As stated before I use 3 drives in my show, two of them 203-Gs, one is a USB. When I am cueing up the next song on one of my Cavs, I not only get it to the main menu where it shows you the song selected, I then push the play button, then pause it once I verify that the title screen at the beginning of the track came up. I have never had a track not play, once it was to the title screen, I.E., "IF you love to sing" screen of chartbuster, then shows the title of the song. If that doesn't show on the screen, or I get music no graphics, I have a dirty disc. Since the singer is singing on the other drive, it is not problem to take the disc out, clean it, then re-cue it up.

Every smart KJ I know who uses a computer, always has at least one drive for customer's disc, or in the event their PC dies. I am getting ready to go computerized this year, but my computer will match my disc. Disc one will be folder one on my computer, then in the event I have to go to disc, all the numbers match up.

I can tell you're very experienced and you know what you're talking about. Can you tell me the model on that Pioneer you were recommending? I get a lot of gear off ebay, I may be able to find one. If not, are they still being made?

One cool thing about my switch box that I just got is that I can hook up 4 music sources to one monitor. I don't think I would ever use 3 players, I can definitely see using 2 and the laptop. That way I'm loading the next person's disc in the other player as I hand back the one that was just played to the person who is leaving, however I can probably survive with just one CAVS player to play any disc I get and the laptop for anything else.
