Hi, i am new karaoke system and i would like you ask u guys expert to help me choose a good speaker for my karaoke system. I have just purchase Better Music Builder DX-388G2 800Watts Professional Mixing Amplifiers. I was wonder which speaker will be good with this Amp/Mixer.

The amp actually only pushes 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms, so you want to make sure your speakers 'program' rating is about 200 watts. The Carvin need (for maximum efficiency) about 600 watts @ 8 ohms. The BMB speakers don't give specs on that site & I can't find a spec sheet on it so not sure what it would require, but usually those 'karaoke' speakers list peak power as their rating, so being they list 600 watts, I would bet their program rating would be close to 300 watts which would be a better match for the internal amp.
The mixer/amp does have the ability to connect to an external power amp so you could upgrade later to a more suitable amp if you go with the Carvins.

If you already got a mixer/amp, then maybe you should look at passive speakers vs. powered speakers.
The Yamaha Club Series such as CM12V/C112V/SM12V/S112V ($250 ea) with 175w/350w/700w are very popular in the KJ/DK world (your mixer/amp may be a bit under-rated but should be able to drive these).

I didn't even catch that he referenced powered cabs last night, it was late, ought not post when tired & had a few .
The Carvin powered speakers would definitely put out more power than the mixer amps own power and most likely sound better than the BMB speakers with the mixer amp.

If you are on a tight budget, then take a look at the Kempton GT12 Passive speaker 125w cont/250w program/500w peak that would match and work nicely with your existing mixer/amp (200w RMS):

The active version Kempton GT12A has good reviews from the vdrums user forum.
Some say that it actually sounds as good as the JBL EON or Mackie lines.

You may want to check their PW series as well which are made of plywood (found on more expensive systems).
The PW10 (100w/200w/400w - 25lbs - $175 or less) and PW12 (125w/250w/500w - 40lbs - $250 or less) would match/work with your mixer/amp too:

There should be a 1KW powered with stereo inputs out there somewhere that weigh about 30 lbs. in an 8" 2 way config.
