Ok I have a question for those of you who use the DBX Powered speaker Optimizer...Can you mix speakers into the configuration using the wizard? For example if I use 2 JBL eons and 2 Behringer EUROLIVE B215A Active's does the DBX work well in this config? Can I use the Wizard or do I have to configure this manually? I know the Behringer's are not well received but I thought they might make good floor monitors...I would also like to through a sub in the mix but that might be in the future a bit...Thanks in advance...

Are you talking about the DriveRack PX? I don't know what a "powered speaker optimizer" is.

In any case, you would usually not use that type of thing on monitors.

Oddly enough the Behringer line of speakers are not one of the pre programmed speaker sets in the Driverack. I don't know if we are talking PA or PX here so I can't get real specific. I don't think it would be a good idea to mix the two pairs on frontals as each have there own characteristics. Meaning, if you were to Auto EQ with your calibration mic in front of the the JBL's it will also try to correct the Behringer's to the same frequency response characteristics as the JBL's or visa versa. The Driverack can be used on your frontals or your monitors but not at the same time as the Left and Right are not independent in relation to where it falls into the chain in the PX or PA. With the 260 you could.

Sorry its the PX, I thought about it and you are correct as a monitor this would not come into play...I was thinking about getting 2 of the berringers as spares so if one jbl went down I would have the 2 brr's as back up. But in the jbl set up I would use the berringer as a monitor...and leave the other in the truck...does that make sense? But now I learn that the berringers are not in the setup/config of the PX..I thought this was a great idea cause I can get the 2 berringers for about 650.00 as the eon 15's are 600 each...
so much for great ideas... :?

It really doesn't matter that they aren't in the pre programmed setups. Remember that JBL, Crown, DBX and several others are owned by Harmon International, so it's no wonder they are included in the menu. My Yorkville's aren't in the setups either. You just have to configure them manually which isn't a major ordeal.

Actually it sounds like a good plan to me. Very like the plan I use... 8-)
