I am very disapointed about behaviours of some people over here !

A moment ago I noticed lost of people from DTS, some good some just for a revenge !

What I reproached to that site( DTS), was not to let people be expressed when a person gave an unjustified note.

The explanation that I had received, it was in fact, to accept to accept even if I were not happy with the comment.

Today I am shocked of a comment which has nothing to do with the music, and the goal of this web site, but the policy.

First thing I am not French, but I live in France, and I love my american Friends, I Love ELVIS , this comment is really of a total immaturity and except question.

what you have writing was immature. ( in response to one of my comment ) did u read all my comments ?

I have simply to comment on and to give a note right, look at your others submissions, because I noted you according to your work.
And being fair on it !

Now if u don't accept so, don't submit.

I would like the administrator to don't accept the political characters mixes with the interest and the productivity of this marvellous site.

For the respect of each others.
That the respect does not lose its place. For comments like this one, the person having offend a person should be a WARNED !

I will agree that this is definitely not the forum to overtly express political views. However, I believe the comment to be more satirical in nature and was for a comedic effect (remember the flap about renaming French Fries to Freedom Fries?)--- although the following connotation of "...But what they know of singing?" and as they applied it to you personally was uncalled for.

I agree that there are also people out for revenge out there, but what can you really do? As far as the ratings go, we must all consider the source and ask "What makes them qualified to critique a song?" For the most part, the ratings simply seem to reflect more on how much a person subjectively feels about a song (and yes, the person) rather than being a true critique of the technical merits of the submission. For this reason, I believe that people should definitely be able to make comments about songs without necessarilly having to rank them which IMHO is the basis for a lot of the hard feelings here (I hope the admin sees this).

We are currently working on setting up additional features, one such as you mentioned. The ability to comment without ranking. The database guys are working on this.

Also, if anytime you feel that someone has placed an inappropriate comment on a song please contact the moderators/admin. Further, I am working on a way to configure a method for the singer to immediately contact the admin/moderators via a Private Message (PM) to do so.

Any ideas that you have for improving this site please let us know.

Singerfool, I really appreciated u r reply, The rank is not the most important for me, the most important is the integrity of the rank, and I speak for my self too, cause I have been unfair with u, and I know I hurted u ! I did apologize already for it !

The fact is Someone that don't know to sing and gonna rank me with a weird note, of course I gonna listen and I will have my own opinion and gonna feel it's not fair.
From someone that is very talented I will take very much attention about the comment and the rank, cause the person is a good singer.

Some likes to comment and rank but for a friend for a revenge, that's what is not normal and acceptable.
BUt today saying that to me, If i was french I couldn't accept, and don't find it nice respectfull and normal over here !

So the goal of this web site is to help each other to be more better !
So.

Yeah administrator, fine the changes gonna come.

I feel nationality should have nothing to do with how a singer is scored.. or rated.. it's all based on talent and quality.. Can they cut it? ot honestly are they putting out the effort? hey i'll at least give them honest points for a great effort!!!

They could be from Iraq and be singing in Sunni for all I care if it's on key and they catch my ear I'll score them appropriately...

Why can't we just get along people?

My song got only 4 pts. just what I expected. I made comments and rank other people songs and I think am fair. Just because am bad at singing doest make me bad at giving pts. I do not rank songs that i do not know. I hope people who give ranking points and comments to behave just like they were in a karaoke Bar: clap louder when you like the way the singer deliver the number,and maybe silent when you think the singer is not up to the mark.
To me the lower the rank of my song the more i will upload. I just see if i will improve over time. When (if ) i get 10s then i may stop uploading my songs. I come here to learn how to improve my singing and if in the prosese some people do not like my singing even if it is good (that will be a long way to come ) then so be it.
There are some people who give very low marks for good tune and for that i am with you Freewild and singingfool

In a public forum such as this, you have to expect bad reviews, bad ratings and bad manners. It's a fact of life. Always take what is given with a grain of salt, good or bad. There are enuff people out there that do give good, honest reviews and comments to outweigh the bad ones. Don't let bad ones get to you, concentrate on the good.

Remember the phrase: 'You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time'. Some people are going to like what you do, some aren't. Use the positive votes and comments to your advantage, ignore & discard the rest. Just because your overall rating might go down a bit isn't the end of the world. In 5 days, you can delete that particular song and upload another and that vote, and all it's bad, or good, comments are history forever.
