My name is Vikki, I am interested in starting my own Karaoke business, I love Karaoke I have my little machine and about 1000 songs that I take to friends and family house on the weekends and everyone has a blast but now I am thinking I want to go big and make some money off of what I love to do, However i know nothing about the hardware that I would need I have been researching and hopefully I can get some guidance here. I have about $4000. to start with and what I would like to do is start my business in the clubs. I want to go digital using a laptop to store my songs on I just am unsure what kind of laptop to get. do I have to order a special one with the things that I need or is it ok to just buy a laptop and buy an external video card and so on. also need to figure out what other kind of equipment I need such as good speakers mic's amps and so on. any guidance that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Hi my name is Miss Kitty and I currently play in two clubs in the Upstate New York area. I started doing karaoke after a friend/fellow KJ introduced me to the business. As a former singer in a band from a loooong time ago, I thought this was a fun way to sing again. I'll admit though... I don't sing nearly as much as I would like because it is not about me, it's about the singers and the bar business.
