Hello, I need a sub woofer and my budget allows me either the TAPCO 6918S or the CARVIN LSx1801. Which one would give a bigger "boom for the buck?" I'll be driving it with a Yamaha P4500. Thank you.

If you are planning on getting just one, keep in mind the Carvin is a 4 ohm cabinet so you wouldn't be able to bridge your P4500 amp. On the plus side it would free up half of the Yamaha for other duties. At 640 watts into four ohms it isn't an ideal match for the Carvin but should do a respectable job for you. The Tapco is an eight ohm cabinet which would allow you to bridge to Yamaha and get 1240 watts into your speaker. Were you planning on using both sides of the Yamaha for sub(s)?
