Can someone help us with the Sax N Dotty software? We just purchased it through their website, and we need a walk-through.
Also, are there any FREE CD+G Ripping programs?
Thank you!!!

audiograbber
you'll need some kind of mp3 compression... LAME.ENC.dll is one... just do a google search for that!

now, that form doesn't show how to rip KARAOKE...
Rather than clicking on the Grab icon, I left click the "CD" option and scroll down to where it says "Grab CDG tracks (Karaoke)", and then you have four options.
* Grab to .bin
* Grab to .cdg
* Grab to .cdg + .wav
* Grab to .cdg + compressed
I use the fourth option, once all my settings are done.

We are trying it now. THANK YOU, so much!
Now, if we can just get Sax N Dotty to send us an email. HAHAHAHA.

to test play your files, you can use either winamp (which I THINK Sax still uses) or download the .cdg/.bin free player at www.karaokebuilder.com
http://download.karaokebuilder.co.uk/cdgplayer.exe
Once installed, this will play your .cdg or .bin files (NOT the mp3 files) so you can test if they ripped correctly.
This has literally saved me hundreds of hours!

It is possible that the drive you are ripping from is not supported by the ripping software. I had the same problem with a Audiograbber.
However, when I switched to Karaoke File Converter and Rip N Zip I didn't have a problem (note that you can try both for a limited time before you buy).
Some software is more versatile with a wider variety of drives than others.

Does that mean I will have to use software that isn't free?

It doesn't mean anything for sure. I am just telling you how *I* solved my problem with audiograbber on *my* system.
I didn't have the time to waste to figure out a free solution.

I wasn't trying to be rude. If that is how it came across, I am sorry. It's just that I have spend so much money, trying to get this off the ground. Anything free is a GREAT help. Ya know?

No problem, I am sorry if I came across in a bad way as well. I just meant that there are many ways to "skin a cat" or handle these tasks. I tried with free software and it didn't work out the best for me. Maybe you will have better luck.

CDGRip V2 from the makers of Compuhost supports more drives than most rippers, supports CDDB lookup and offers advanced error correction! Oh yea, it's FREE!!!

yep.
Sax is just a player. What you're talking about is having the tracks on your computer. How you get it there doesn't matter to S&D!

Getting Started with S&D Show Presenter:
Once you have some MP3G files on your computer, click on the options button on the right side of the screen. Click "Import". In the import window click the "..." button at the top and select the folder that contains your karaoke files. Click OK then "Get Tracks" on the right. When you see the files in that window click "Transfer to Main". Once that's done you can close that window and try searching for a song in the search box at the top. Double click on the song you want and it will ask for a singer's name. Hit OK and it will show up in the queue. Click play to start the song at the top of the queue.

This is the one compuhost is associated with.
