My equipment list is as follows Mackie 1604 vlz pro mixer qsc-rmx-1450 amp, behringer dsp1000 digital effect, DOD SR231 DUAL 31 BAND EQ, alessis 3630 compressor 2-515e yamaha 2-way speakers 2 small yamaha monitors for small venues, 2 Jbl sf25 3 way full range speakers for larger venues, have more speakers amps and effects if necessary also have mic stands with mic's . Have never ran karaoke so my dilemma and first question is I have been told not to use expensive mic's because people have one to many and are careless. I do have some cheaper mic's #4- audix f50 fusion series mic's or 4- digital reference mic's would they be ok to use? I want to use my dell dimension desktop 250 gb hard drive 2gb memory it's 5 years old but replaced hard drive last year. also have dell optiplex 755 with 2gb memory and 320 gb hard drive rather use one of these than laptop. would that be ok? optiplex is one year old. if necessary gateway laptop 4gb memory 250 gb hard drive model m-7135 notebook brand new. if dell dimension can be used what would I need to upgrade? optiplex755 is only about 1 year old ,dual core, but would be my 2nd choice. 2nd question I keep seeing the name compuhost pop up would that be a good program to use or should I use something else? also would need a monitor and monitor stand and whatever else you would tell me that I need would also like to know the best and cheapest sites to find these items I was also told that a lot of downloadable karaoke songs you can download for free from some sites like you tube any advice or direction to things like this would greatly be apprieciated. Also anyone interested I have a couple of rack mount items I'm willing to trade for any of these items I need, power amp NADY 850, DIGITAL EFFECT, aural exciter sonic maximizer, 4 mic's in case, also have a couple of whirlwind direct boxes and maybe another QSC-1450 amp. kept first post short hope this post is a little better. Thanks again any advice is severely needed and apprieciated,

Since you already have all of those computers, I would personally use one of them with 3gb Ram, and at least 250gb harddrive. I use Compuhost, a little pricey, but in my opinion, WELL worth the cost. Hook it together with Fasttracks V2 Songbook Creator, if makes life ALOT easier down the road. You can check both of them out by doing a search, by either of their names.
