I bought a couple cdgs from KW before xmas, then when completing the order, a pop up talked me into buy another 8 cdg set which has been a thorn in my side ever since. All Star Karaoke. I've got a few other ASK in the past with no problems of them working. But 6 of the 8 in this set will not play or rip, they just slide around in my drive. The 6 out of the 8 that don't work are solid colors.
I called them before xmas, had trouble getting them to answer me. When they did, they told me they would have my daughter send them back while I flew to Canada on the 26th. Came back after my trip, no call and it took me 2 more weeks to get to talk to them again. Explained what happened again. They said they would just send replacements. When this didn't happen, I got a little testy with them. Finally last week, I got the replacements. Same thing, the 2 worked, the 6 didn't. Today, a week later, I finally got to talk to them again. They won't give me my money back, which I can understand, and they won't let me pick something else out. They said they would just keep sending me this set until I got one that works. The set is "Karaoke Block Party, has 105 songs on it including different genres. 6 of the 8 are solid in color, the two that work just have the font on them. I forgot, they also tried to tell me that because of the color, they were a little heavier and my drive is probably wearing out and can't play them. I rip these on an Acer I just bought brand new in August.
I'm done buying from them, just thought I would share.

Thought of that jam but what good would that do me? All my disks will be ripped on my home set up. I have about 4000 cdg songs so you can figure out how many disks I have, none other have give me a bit of problems. Just this set, both times, with the colored disks.

I personally think that they had "originals" of the first 2 discs, and completed the set with copies. I had the same thing happen to me with SCDGs. Five out of the six disc set worked AND ripped fine, BUT the 6th disc I could not get to play, or rip. I got FOUR replacement discs, with NO LUCK what-so-ever. Finally gave up, and bought the 6th disc from a different vendor. My experience WASN'T with KW, but I think it's becoming a trend. You REALLY have to be careful who you're buying from.

Let me tell you a story about KaraokeWarehouse.
A couple years back I purchased an ASK Toby Keith CDG disc from WALMART. At that moment in time Walmart was basically eliminating karaoke from its music dept. When I inserted the disc into my home karaoke player, it would not load up. I tried my show player, with the same results... I also tried my computer. No luck.
Well, knowing that the store had no other copies of this CDG, and would not be getting more. I went on line and ordered it again from Walmart.
BTW... I then took the disc back to my local Walmart to return it and they didn't want to do anything for me because the disc was opened. I insisted that I was going to get satisfaction and they finally got a manager involved. He offered to swap it out and I informed him that he was welcome to look for another copy but that I had ordered on line because he had no more copies in stock. I also showed him my ("re-order") confirmation form Walmart on-line. He then wanted to give me a credit, which I refused. I said that he should try the disc to that it is clearly defective and because of that I wanted my money back. WHICH I FINALLY GOT!
A few days later my replacement disc arrives - SAME EXACT PROBLEM...
I called Walmart customer service and got nothing but a run around... so I decided to take a "breaK" from the morons at Walmart, for the moment!
So, I got to thinking. I've been to and had purchased a few odds and ends from KaraokeWarehouse. In the process I noted that they carried ASK discs also. And at that time I only knew of Walmart and KaraokeWH selling that product.
So, I figured, there's more than "meets the eye" here. I decided to call KaraokeWH and ask what they knew about the defective product I had encountered. The were very inquisitive about and responsive to my problem. I was told someone would call me back. Within an hour or two they called back to inform me that the disc in question was the product of a poor pressing.
AND... they asked for my name and address and sent me a replacement that worked perfectly... FREE OF CHARGE! And though I had offered to pay for shipping, they wouldn't accept even that.
And, remember, I never got the problem resolved with Walmart and no longer had a need to get back to them and waste time with them over a problem that was solved for me.
So... what more can I say?

Well, they told me to call this this morning as my regular work hours are off this week and I don't go in until 10 AM. They never answered the phone this morning. They are 2 weeks away from taking the longest for me to get replacement product for defective product.
