How do I know if one of my laptops drives will work for ripping cd+g cds?

Well I have If you already have the laptop then try and rip one. If you're looking at laptops then you're in a bit of a grey area because of manufacturing variances between components. I can say I don't have a Dell laptop that has failed to rip (Have 3 at the house, 1 at the office) but I know some people have had spotty results with other manufacturers.

I know that cdgrip and powerkaraoke's CDG Burner both work with my acer.
