Have you downloaded and installed the lyrics plugin --> MP3&G plugin --> http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/100775

I have Sax N Dotty, Winamp, MP3+g Plugin, and the Pacemaker Plugin. All of these downloads were taken from the Sax N Dotty website.

I use older versions of Winamp, the cdg plugin and the pacemaker plugin... so to each their own!

After you start playing a song in Sax N Dotty there should be an icon for the mp3&g plugin showing down in the taskbar (the actual window may be hiding behind the Sax N Dotty window) if it is there, click on it (this will bring it to the forefront) then right click on the lyrics window and select "always on top"

Then it more than likely is that you do not have a valid karaoke file (an mp3 file and a cdg file) this would be the case if you have been trying to rip karaoke files off of a karaoke disc using Audiograbber and your cd drive is not a cdg capable drive.

I would now try using the ripping software suggested by DannyG2006 earlier in this thread.
It is possible that the drive you are ripping from is not supported by the ripping software. I had the same problem with a Audiograbber.

However, when I switched to Karaoke File Converter and Rip N Zip I didn't have a problem (note that you can try both for a limited time before you buy).

Some software is more versatile with a wider variety of drives than others.
This might work for you as well. see www.kjamp.com.

Like I mentioned previously, I had the exact same problem ( but with different hosting software), and this is how I fixed it.

www.kjtools.com for cdgrip

www.powerkaraoke.com for CDG burner.

Both work with more than is listed than Goldenhawk's list of compatable drives.

heck both work with a stock Acer drive in my laptop. If it will work with that then it should work with other drives just as well.

According to Powerkaraoke, the MAtsui drives are the only ones that their software won't work with. (forgive the spelling on the drive brand).

Let's keep this simple for now

Go to the following website an download the cheapest track you can find. It will come as a Zip file, which is what S&D uses. You may want to duplicate the file*. Then put the zip file(s) in a folder.

https://www.buykaraokedownloads.com/

You then import the folder you created into S&D. It should work. If it doesn't, THEN you know you have a problem with you installation.

* The duplicating of the file was recommended because the version of S&D I have often doesn't work if I am trying to import just one file. SO... I do as I suggested to you duplicate it and I then delete the extra file when I am done!

Zonerc.

Move your mouse over onto the 2nd screen and over the scroller bar, right click and hold then "drag" the bar to where you want.

But why would you want it in the middle of the screen. Right in the middle of the lyrics ??? I'm confused

Hi again Zonerc,

The way I use it is as follows.

I have the scroller bar at the bottom of the screen.

I reduce/move the lyrics screen (when it appears) so it's filling the screen above the bar but not OVER the top of it.

This way the singers can see whose next as soon as the previous song starts to play so it gives them plenty of time to prepare.

You need to make sure that all the correct boxes are ticked in "Options" for it to work automatically as described

I don't know then.

On mine I can drag the bar even over onto the first screen as I can with lyrics screen.

Maybe something to do with the way 2nd screen is set up which I don't fully understand.
