i read all this talk about PA'S and what professionals use. With a Bogen 70 volt system which is multiple ceiling mounted speakers I can distribute sound over a wide area and it is not prone to room acoustics. The sound is distributed with an easy listening level and fills the room with with pleasant sound. As like JBL Bogen has extensive white papers on system design and excellent tech support. Please visit their web site Yes at one time I designed and installed sound systems. Along with intercom, TV distribution, TV studios and worked on military systems.

I would love to sing outside on a Bogen tube amp again There is nothing like it. With 200 watts they hear you in the next county.

Dave Bogen who founded Bogen electronics was a cousin to my maternal grandfather. I was particular close with his brother who was NOT a part of the company.

However, his brother did get our family its first 3-speed turntable!

Of, course, that turntable, Ollie, was pre-stereo. I still remember the thrill of hearing stereo when it was new, particularly those LP's made especially for showing off the stereo split.. like "Persuasive Percussion"

One of my first stereo experinced was hearing a freight train going thru a guys basement. Started off low in the left speaker got noisy then faded off in the right Duane Eddy's Rebel Rouser and most of that era were awesome/

Thanx for the track, Ollie.

Brought back memories of the days when my Tenor Sax was at my side many days of the week.... garage bands..... hops.... school shows... jam sessions

And now... I'm at the point in life that I'm looking to sell my Tenor and other instruments hat I've had for as many as 55 years.
