I was wondering if anyone could help me out on setting up sax n dotties for vista. I can not get any video to go thru my s-video. If anyone can help me that would greatly appreciated. Thank you Audio blast

Trouble shooting this should be fairly easy, but first a few questions.

Have you ever used S&D before?

If not, when did you get S&D?

If you purchased S&D recently, why do you think the problem is with vista; the lastest versions are Vista compatible?

I noticed on their web page this quote

Please note the older versions do not work on Vista unless UAC is switched off .

If you have the newest version then I'm not sure.

I have used sax n dotties before and i do have the new version. Should i try to contact them to see what they think?

I'm no computer expert but I have recently installed the new version of S n D and I'm running Vista. Everything works fine so I'll try to help.

I assume your trying to use the S-video for your performer screen. Is the screen actually working when your not using S n D ?

I find that I need to make sure that the 2nd screen is all connected up BEFORE I even switch on the computer. Then when it all fires up you should see the greeny/yellowy wallpaper background the same on both screens.

If you've got both screens showing then fire up sax and dotties.

If still no video click on the OPTIONS tab in the sax and dottie screen, then click on AUDIENCE SCREEN and make sure that the "Use singer/audience screen" box is ticked.

Sorry if you've tried all this and this sounds like trying to teach Grandma to suck eggs but just trying to help from my own experience.

I too had problems at first with the S-video and it turned out to be the S-video to RCA adaptor that was wrong.

If all else fails get in touch with Sax and Dotties - I did once and they were extremely helpful !
