It uses a blue screen /record option, exactly like a VCR does. I'm in the process of recording my old lasers this way. BUT I'm either going to make VCDs of the suckers, or a DVD with the mpegs... I don't HAVE the mega disc space, and my dvd burner will copy those as files I can access... I'm nearly complete on going fully digital... THEN I can use those dvds as file storage!!

Matt, thanks for your reply, Im wondering if you could email me with more information on " how to ". the lasers are also interesting as I would like to get all the 20 Pioneer Lasers ( country ) on video hard drive, they are great but getting so old now it would be hard to find them in good enough condition to record.
