If someone was trying to hide the fact that they had a bunch of Sound Choice songs on their hard drive by deleting the manufacturer's name from their song book, a representative from Sound Choice would just have to go to that show and sing a song and ask the KJ for the Sound Choice version of a particular song. I don't know if someone would go through the trouble of removing every title screen from every karaoke track they own and replacing it with a home made title track for the RARE occurance of a anti piracy rep showing up at your show. There have been many instances where karaoke hosts that worked for honest KJ's, or multi riggers, have copied the honest KJ's or multi rigger's hard drive and or discs and then have gone into business for themselves with their stolen music. There is no honor among thieves.

As far as what is going on at the show you were at last night; the guy probably only lists the song once in his song book but when he types it into his search engine, all of the versions come up on his screen and then he picks which one he thinks is the best or the one that the singer may have asked for?

It could be that instead of using Dummy Books, he's using a Dummy Computer?

The guy may have cloned the hard drives of his former employer and doesn't know how to remove the guys on-screen logo from his system or the multi rigger sold this guy one of his many older PC systems. No biggie. It's probably the way many people get into the karaoke business these days....you get a job working for a "digital" karaoke company and just copy their hard drive while you're doing a show for them. Then you open up shop and you don't have to buy any music at all.

I have about 13 k in a karaoke library. As I add I sometimes take some off. Dupes are shown in this fashion. Patsy Cline - Crazy(SC) All the listings are consistent and many years of getting rid of typos etc. It doesnt take a genius to spot pirated music by looking in the books.

The huge hard drives with 50k finally hit this area and yes I have friends who I could get them from. They are amazed when I turn them down. I dint cherish the fact of going through 50 thousand songs eliminating dupes or whatever. I was talking to one of my regs and asked him about another show. Well he has a bigger selection but nothing you dont have "or something to that effect" and we can sing better on your system.

I tell everybody now that I have 13k and I paid for them. It puts my company in more of a professional status. If I dont have something I can download it or here Use my laptop and go to this site and buy your own Put it on your flash drive and I will play it.

Why do you need 50 thousand songs? Once again I am still ahead of the competition.

Ok, folks. I'll let the cat out of the bag. The KJ color-coded the manufacturers to where he only knows what he has by that particular color. He said that he didn't know what version a particular sing was; but by a color code he did. That's what happened. So, he tryed to cover his rear end and made his books look like he had less songs then what is in his hard-drive.
