Would anyone recommend a mic mixer that has reverb built in, input up to 4 mics and has a mute switch for each mic input?

Perfer 1 or 2 rack space if there is such a beast.

There aren't a lot of rack-mounted choices. DannyG uses the Behringer RX1202FX and it does well for him, I think:

mckyj57 thanks. I'm not looking for something that big though. I already have a DJ mixer so I want something that I can plug up to 4 mics into and has reverb and then plug this mic mixer/reverb unit into my DJ mixers mic input. Pretty much I am replacing my old RSQ? player that has 3 mic inputs with a laptop with a gigaport sound card.

you can replace your dj mixer with the behringer unit with no problem. I can hook a couple of sources up to my system if I wanted to. I only have my laptop hooked up to it when I at my gigs as I have all my music either inside my laptop (DJ) or in my external (Karaoke) Hardrive.

The luck we've had with Behringer, and the reviews I've read about their products, I'd be cautious. Our Behringer, less than a year old, already has problems, so do some homework first. Good luck. I'm looking at the Vocopro 3900k for vocals, and to have a back up amp, and also to power extra speakers. Good luck!

Not much available if you want quality sound. For the price you are going to pay for one that is questionable in quality you can get a very decent small table top model that will be more suited for karaoke than just an add on to a dj system.

Thanks for the replies so far. My shows consists of only weddings and private parties. I do not do karaoke as my main focus. Usually, it is an add on to a DJ event.

I want to retain the DJ mixer because of my needs. I only need the mic mixer I'm looking for to replace the mic inputs that are on my karaoke player since I am going laptop based.

Right now, my setup consist of a dual cd player and a laptop. The cd player uses 2 inputs on the mixer and the laptop uses another 2 inputs. The mixer also has 2 mic inputs. I use both mic inputs on the mixer for mcing. I was thinking that I could get a 3/4 channel mic mixer with echo/reverb and plug it into the mic channel on my mixer. This would be used only when I do karaoke.

So with this, would the vocopro I mentioneed above make sense or perhaps an alisis or small table top mixer to plug into the mic channel of my DJ mixer? Again, karaoke is not my main focus. It's an add on.

Being it's just a add on & not really looking for it to be a primary, then yes the VP unit would probably be fine, it won't sound very good for vocals IMO, but certainly will do what you need it to do.

The Behringer mixers I have used in the past were all noisy. Lots of buzz/hum.

My 2-cents...your mileage may vary.

thanks everyone for your replies. This is getting somewhat confusing.

If I get the Vocopro unit, does it plug into my mic channel on my main mixer or does it need to plug into one of my line-in inputs? All of my input channels are being used. Is the mic in channel the same electrical wise as a line in channel or are they different?

If I get a small table top mixer, I am assuming that I can plug my PC output into it as well as the mics then plug the tabletop into my DJ mixer?

This would yield a better sound for the karaoke - especially in the vocals. Yes mics & PC would plug into this mixer then you can feed the outputs to your dj mixer - be careful not to overload it. Connecting a mixer (any size) to another mixer can be done, but needs to be done carefully.
