Zonerc youre gonna love it. Play around for a bit because there is so much to learn and enjoy with this elite mixer. I am convinced this is one of the main reasons why I get the compliments I do on my sound.

As i used to have the kam eq152 connected to my old amp mixer the kam kka400 with phono/rca leads then behringer 1832fx to the amp,now ive got the behringer ep2500 amp instead and allen & heath zed 12fx how do i link the kam eq in as there is no phono/rca plugs on the amp can it be put into any of the phono/rca sockets on the zed 12fx or will i need other leads.
i wasnt going to bother with it with the behringer 1823fx as it has the 9 band stereo Eq but now i have the the zed 12 it dont have the 9 band and wondering if its worth putting it back in as i still have it but only have phono leads at the moment?

The best place to insert the eq is in the main inserts on the mixer. You will need Y-insert cables with a TRS on one end and 2 phonos (RCA) on the other.

The Kam EQ152 has 1/4" jacks on it so you can use a standard TRS (stereo 1/4") to 2 x mono 1/4" jack insert lead for each channel. Like this but they're a lot cheaper on ebay.

cheers gunghouk
i take it you mean to use the y cable from the in/out of one channel on the EQ and then into the left or the right insert socket next to the main out on the zed 12 then a second y cable from the other channel in /out on the eq to the other insert on the zed 12.

thanks m8 thought so.
the kam isnt a great unit but think it may be better than nothing with the zed 12 not having an Eq strip

The tip of the stereo plug is the out of the mixer and goes to the input of the eq and the ring is the return/out from the eq. Et voila !

Of course if you had sooper dooper amp & speakers and worked in perfect acoustic venues you wouldn't need the eq..heheh

when I was a kid, I used to put together electronic hobby projects like radios, some of which were made by Heath. Is that the same company, basically, as Heath & Allen?

Hmmm, I don't think so I also had one of those "Heathkit" amplifier but A&H are well known for their mixers, it's just that they never really entered the "Mass" market, it's always been a "High End" brand for pro artist and studio's.
It's no secret to anyone, UK is the home of High Fidelity! Record company's like London Record (old Dekka), brands like B&W, Celestion, Wharfedale, Kef, Tannoy and Mission... are prestigious name in home speakers. The Brits always had a unique sound
The new Zed series is unique, I just don't know how much you need to spend to get the equivalente in sound quality with the other brands, but for the same price, forget it, no match in my opinion

The Zed 12 or 14 need a bracket to fit in a rack mount, check it out on their website
I think you can make a great deal on these 2 DBX which are strongly recommended
