A rack space is considered to be 1.75 inches (44.4 mm), the figure 10U would indicate 10 rack spaces or 17.5 inches (444.50 mm) total. As the mixer you have is 18.3 inches (465mm) a 10U rack would not be large enough. In your case you would be looking for a 12U or 12 rack spaces, that would be 21 inches (533.40mm). Hope that helps.

sorry abit slow getting back used the zed 12fx weekend gone at a karaoke and a wedding and was really pleased with it very good sound and good control, only problem i had is with running traxtor version 2 which i prefer to version 3 when selecting the usb audio in trakstor setting i couldnt get it to work until changing the latency to 35 manually ,the usb adapter i used with the behringer 1832fx didnt have this problem ,unless i was doing something wrong.
also didnt have time to really mess around so run effects on between the large hall and small hall ,didnt dare to try it on anything else while i was doing a show.

It's now been 3 weeks since I bought this Zed-14, so I figured it would be a good idea to share the only thing that I'm not pleased with  Why the heck did they choose to use RCA Phono jacks on ALT OUT??? This is where you connect your studio monitors, hello guy's, what did you had in mind :!:

Beside that, I'm back using my Emu-1212m audio card with my Mogami cables, it does sound better and I also had latency problems on USB and I didn't really took the time to figure out...

Overall, I'm still impressed with it's sound quality, I decided I would keep my Mackie 1402 VLZ, I just couldn't sell it, I tried but everyone who called said; is it made in China or USA  I guess they know the story... I finally got the hang of it, it does a lot more than my Mackie!

I'm presently searching for a rack case and I all I can say, not many are available for this 12u mixer  If any of you have some models you wish to show me that I could import to Canada, it would be appreciate it  Ideally, I'd like one with the mixer on top and 8u-10u space at the bottom :D

Thanks!

I've been hearing some noise on the Zed-14 recently which I think is the USB bus but I've also fancied having the extra facilities of the MixWiz , extra auxes, editable internal FX, 8 mic channels, 8 direct outs for recording. I still think the Zed-14 is nice but the MixWiz is another step up :)
