Stress AND/OR an injury to your nerves can cause a shingles outbreak..

Yes, I've been there too.. Had pox as a kid, and my outbreak was directly related to a barber, who decided he needed to hurry up my haircut, and smacked me on my radial optic nerve with his clipper. (Eyebrow area)

Full blown shingles in 12 hours..

Painful yet livable.. Crackerjack drugs..

Diafel, it makes sense that i probably could have had a weaker case of it when i was younger. My older sister doesn't recall me having it, (spoke to her today) but i did have several cases of high fever and influenza.

Wow JD that's scary that an impact blow could set-off something as painful and irritating as this! Thank God i'm back to normal!!

I know i've been very fortunate my entire adult life of being mostly free of viruses/illnesses and hospital stays or visits. The worst things before this were a root canal and pink-eye 8 years ago...
