I have a Yamaha MG124CX. It doesn't have rack mounts:

I have this case - it has 19" rack mounts:

How do I mount it in the top (flip-up) section? Someone previously mentioned a tray for it?

Thanks

Funny, that's what she said!

But all kidding aside, how about hook and loop strips? Velcro? Would that work for your application?

Loops and strips? Doesn't sound overly secure?

Looks a little deep for my needs - but would suffice. At least I know now what to search for - thanks :)

No actually I meant Velcro strips underneath. The generic term for velcro is hook and loop fastners. The hooks grab onto the loops.

With a DFX12 I made ears out shelf brackets and actually hinged for access.

Well, I could be wrong, but I thought the pop-up part on your rack had a little table piece, like this rack:

They usually have a surface that grabs onto velcro strips on the bottom of your mixer.

No, it's not got that. It's a rack case. As such it is nothing more than racking.

But thanks :)

Nlouch is your rack deep enough to take it? The only reason I haven't bought a MG mixer is because they're all too deep to fit in the top part of my SKB rack.

If you can squeeze it in there are always ways to secure it. Like Karyoker I used hardware brackets to mount a Mackie 1202 once.

FFS I am NOT a happy guy!

Spent a few weeks trying to get that Gator tray for the top of this - turns out it's no longer available for the UK market. Bought it twice off ebay and once off a site - and each time they come back telling they have no stock and won't get any!

I'd sell you mine but shipping from the US is no doubt astronomical.

Well, it's a thought. If you have one you aren't using... LOL

But would probably be prohibitive. Shame as I REALLY NEED one! Damn!

Here's the only mixer case I know that could possibly fit an MG mixer in. But it's going to cost you. And it's only a mixer case.

I already have my rack-mount case with popup for mixer - need to find a way of getting mixer actually into it.

Yamaha say they don't sell compatible ears, and this tray is now discontinued. Begger!

I could make a one off item through, bend some steel...

I cut them about 2" from the right angle or you could form it with 2 90 degrees.
