OK, When hooking 2 speakers up to an amp in Briged mono how is this done? This is what I thought was the proper way to do it but I just don`t know for sure. Do you hook 1 speaker into channel #1 and daisey chain off that speaker to your other speaker? Don`t laugh @ me too hard just trying to get educated from the most knowlegable people I know in live sound. Thanking you in advance for your most appreciated help...

For amps that can be bridged (there are some that can't), there are various methods used. The make and model of the amplifier you have would have to be known to be able to give you an accurate answer. Some amps simply have a "bridged" switch which internally bridges amp "A" to amp "B", some amps use a banana plug and actually bridge from the positive of channel one to the positive of channel two via the speaker binding posts with both speakers then being driven from it. Also be aware that even if an amp can be bridged you usually must be using 8 ohm speakers as most amps are not stable under 4 ohms, which is what you will have by running two 8 ohm speakers in parallel. There are a few exceptions.

The amp is a behringer 1500 and say`s it is bridgeable and yes the 2 speakers are rated @ 8 ohms can you tell me how to do this?

To run bridged on your EP2500 you have to set dip switches "6"and "7" to the "ON" position and connect both speakers to the number "1" speaker out. The number "2" speaker out is "NOT" used and the input knob on channel "two" should be turned "off", all the way counter clockwise. Only the Input from channel "1" controls the amp in bridged mode. Man I hate to bother you guy`s but I need this info. Lonman you said that I need a banana plug with 1/4 female Im sure so that my speaker can then plug into it,I would taher use 1/4'' plug`s anyway just didn`t think it was possible with this amp.. O the back of the amp at the binding posts I see {looking @ pic.}the 2 red positives which Im assuming where the banana plug go`s? I then set it to the 4 ohm setting and plug both of my speakers into the female 1/4" on the back of the banana plug? Thanks in advance for your much appreciated guidance..

Yes on the banana jacks you use the postives from both channels. 1 is actually the positive for your speakers & the other will act as the negative.
You can get banana plus with 1/4" jacks on the them so the 1/4" speaker plug will plug right into it. If you want to add another speaker, get another banana plug & piggy back the other one - again making sure the positve goes to positive & negative to negative. You don't want to cross phase the speakers you'll lose alot of sound quality.
There is no 4 ohm setting. Turn on switches 6 & 7 for bridge mode. Also turn on CLip limiter switch #1.
You will still only use the Input 1 only. Channel 2 will no longer be needed in bridge mode.

OK, after connecting the one speaker into the banana plug adapter I then daisey chain off that speaker to run my second speaker? If i chose to run any more speakers with that configuration could I do it? I really hate to keep on but I value your opinion and sound experience. Thanks again...

I'm not sure why you would want to use a 1/4" phono plug rather than the Speakon jack. The Speakon will give you a much larger contact area and a more secure fit which is highly recommended especially when bridging an amplifier. If you are using "Speakon" type speaker cables all you have to do is use the channel one speaker out jack, then daisy chain speaker two off from speaker one. "NO" banana plug or adapter would be required. Of course all this is a mute point if the speakers you are using aren't equipped with Speakon's.

My speaker cables are 1/4" plugs but speakon adapters are cheap,if it could be bridged that way?

One more question what is the best configuration for hooking up a Yamaha MG124 CX to this amp?Also is it posible to run my laptop into this mixer to play my music?

Yes it could be done that way, but you couldn't just use a Speakon to 1/4 adapter because the amp has NL4 jacks in it. In an NL4 there are 4 contacts -1 +1 and -2 +2. in normal operation it only uses the -1 +1 contacts. In bridged mode you would want to use the +1 +2 contacts. I'm not sure how confident you are in your ablities but if you want to pick up 4 new NL4FC Speakon ends You can convert your existing cables to Speakons if you like. It is simpler to use the banana plug to 1/4" adapters you are talking about, but the Speakon's would give you superior fit and contact.

Since this mixer does not have a mono out, you'd just use 1 output & pan everything to that output.
Yes you can hook the laptop to the mixer. Using the headphone out will work, sound ok, but for better sound an external USB sound interface is recommended. Connects to the laptop & the USB unit has audio outputs that continue to the mixer. Just run two XLR cables (mic cables) from the Yamaha's XLR output jacks to the Behringers XLR input jacks. You could hook your laptop up to your Yamaha by using a simple cable adapter from the laptops headphone jack to either of the Yamaha's stereo RCA inputs (channels 9/10 or 11/12). That would be the easiest way. A better way might be to use a USB interface and bypass your laptops soundcard entirely.

There doesn't appear to be any inserts into the mains on your mixer. Your only option would be to place the BBE in line between your mixer and your amplifier. You do have inserts on your channels, so in theory you could use it on two channels that way.
