Hey all, I have been scouring the internet for a carpeted, 11 space mixer only case for my Yamaha MG166CX mixer, but can't seem to find anything.
I got a quote for a custom job that will cost me $200 to get one with a removable top and back.
This mixer is 19" wide, and 11U high. Anyone have an idea on where I can find a "mixer only" case for it? Is $200 a good deal?
Thanks.

Karaoke Kayote,
I just bought this case 2 months ago and used it for one gig. One of my powered speakers blew and I'm not going to get it fixed, so I need to get a bigger case to accomodate an amp. This case will fit your mixer plus 2U below, and the case is super tough but weighs only like 20 pounds. I'll sell it to you for $100.00 plus you pay the shipping. Interested??

Whoops...nevermind. I just looked up you mixer, and it actually seems to take 12U of space to rack, so my unit is too small for your needs. Sorry bout that!!

Very tempting, but that's a bit much for me. I prefer carpeted cases as well.
Looking at Lonman's suggestion, I believe I should actually get the custom case made.

It's actually an 11U unit, but still too big.

You aren't going to find a sub-$100.00 case no matter where you look.

Ok now that's pretty weird. MF is selling it $50 cheaper thru Amazon than it's own site.
Be advised kk that it's a big case. They're going to charge you shipping on it. And you're gonna break 40 pounds with the mixer inside.
I've almost bought an MG mixer so many times but it's the size thing that's always made me pull back. But I may still get one if the ol' Behringer starts acting up again. And if I do I'll transport it like the real pro that I am.
Wrap it in a towel and throw the power supply in a cord bag.

actually, it makes a lot of sense to just get the custom made one. Aaron Pearson does great work, I've got his 8 space rack and they are rugged as hell.
