that will help you decide.

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, an Islamic terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you.

You are carrying a Glock cal 40, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?

Democrat's Answer:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor! Or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? Should I call 9-1-1? Why is this street so deserted? We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior. This is all so confusing! I need to discuss with some friends over a latte and try to come to a consensus.

Wife: "You are not taking that to the taxidermist!"

Well either a republican or a redneck given those options!

However, curious what a Libertarians view point would be?

Though, yeah, given my mood and level of adrenalin at the time, I might would lean towards 'redneck'.

He was not exactly an islam but I was in the same predicament with orders to shoot red protestors coming up the brow. I aimed a 45 at the leader and screamed halt in every language I knew. All of a sudden he looked in my eyes and saw the death angel. He backed down and I didnt have to shoot. But in the situation above with no time to think it would be redneck only.

True story. It was a sat morn and I was sitting there drinking beer. A Jahovas witness banged on the screen door. In full view I swigged some beer and gave him the bird.....They didnt come back!!!!

Another time they approached me and said do you believe in angels? " Yup I made love to one all last night!!!" The gal behind him cracked up!!!!

No doubt! "Bang!" I would hate to kill a christian, but someone coming after me or my family, I will protect them. It is not about who it that comes at me, it is the fact that they have a weapon and they are intent on hurting me or my family. I think most anyone would do the same thing. I certainly am not going to let someone cut me or my family up when I have the means to keep them from it. That just makes sense! So, "Bang!" And, I am a real good shot!

why on earth should religion make any difference...same as why should I feel any more inclined to let the freakin zealots in my door just cos one of them is in a motorised wheelchair...we have 7th day adventists who hunt in packs and one of them is in a motorised wheelchair...he seems to think I will be less inclined to tell him where he can stick his religion...WRONG!!!

Exactly...that was my point. It should just be "A Crazy Person comes rushing at your family", because religious nuts come in all flavors. Muslims certainly don't have a lock on the market.
