No experience but I live in fear of VP.

Anyway, was looking for an obscure song to fill a request and went to mycdg.com (eatsleepmusic). No matter what address I typed it went to SingSnap. Did some more searching and found a lawsuit against mycdg by Tennesee Productions whatever (Chartbuster?) Is my CDG.com now out of the picture due to lawsuits?

As long as we're speaking of brands again, I'd like to throw a recent bad experience.

It seems Chartbuster, Sound Choice, and some other mfrs. did sample packs for VocoPro. They can be recognized by a "VP" in front of the regular disc numbers.

Well, I found some of the SC pack ( VPSC8046 - VPSC8054) for a good price and purchased them. Bad Idea. I don't know if the problem was SC or VocoPro, but most of these versions are pretty bad, except for 54, which is a latin disc. The versions on this disc matched other SC versions, but the other discs seemed inferior to me. I tried switching them with a few of my regulars who sing SC versions and they picked up on it right away- not pleased.

This is only a small sampling of singers plus my own humble opinion, but I would pass if you run into them.

I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with the VocoPro Chartbuster samplers.

Then I would bet that SC did not produce the tracks, they wouldn't purposely re-record versions that sucked if they already had versions out. But I would pass on anything VP anyway - even if they gave me stuff for free to test.

The thing is, I bought it because it was supposed to be an SC compilation FOR VocoPro. VP may well have been the problem, but if so, I wonder how they get away with using SC or CB labels...?
